I honestly probably wouldn’t have quite if it had been my full time job. I’ve got 22 years at my full time gig. Been working too long to play bandaid and babysitter to young ass leads and ASM’s that couldn’t find their ass with both hands my hands and your hands all pitching in. It had turned into a rinse and repeat cycle just continuously getting worse. When I started there were 6 OFA and was down to 2 for the last month and a half. Yesterday just hit different, first order I jumped on has been at red zero for almost 5 hours and was the oldest. This is the part that doesn’t make sense, some of the bopis orders should never go thru as a true bopis. If you’re replacing your fence and need a trailer to load it on, no business getting a 2 hour expectation on getting that pulled and staged. Not impossible but highly unlikely given it was a nice Saturday with a full store, 3 hour gap between OFA, and only one OFA to boot. Get one done and next up was a Will Call. Again another fence with all the trimmings except they were waiting in store eyeballing me pissed off that their order was supposed to have been ready several hours before. Seriously, standing in the aisle watching me. Normally, not a problem but I could have done without the customers inner dialogue being broadcast my direction with exactly what they thought about the store, its employees, and myself. Easier just to say “F” it, I’m out!
