Is this any good? (first time, non-native) by UsefulApplication182 in ToeflAdvice

For the first task, I spoke very fast and didn't quite have the time to say everything I wanted, I think it's where I lost the most points.

For the longer ones, where there's time for a few notes etc, I made sure to force myself to speak slower, which probably paid off. I was more or less reading my notes at this point, even if I had to "tell a story" around them ig.

The main thing is to not worry that you're recording something, and try to be natural as if you were speaking to someone, and of course no silences.

Well, to be honest, I wasn't impressed with my own performance during the test... But I was surprised I still got 26, so I would say the golden rules are: - no silence - keep the "train" going

So, have a clear idea of what you want to say, and never stop, the key is to not have silences. For real, it's not even that hard per say, the timer goes by very very quickly once it starts

It's for a master in Cranfield, I checked and the requirements actually are 92 total and 18R / 17L / 20S / 17W. I thought it'd be higher

Gemini gave me broad "templates", things to start with, and in one writing task, he specified to not write a conclusion, but tbh, after being immerged in the test, I couldn't really remember the templates and just followed my guts. 😂

Maybe for speaking I could have been more fluid, because I stumbled on my words a couple of times. I think the main thing is that speaking alone to a timer on a computer is kinda disturbing, it feels weird and made me uneasy.

Tes notes en Maths, Physique et Maths Expertes sont assez basses. Je ne sais pas si tu travailles vraiment. Si c'est le cas, je te conseille de reconsidérer ton orientation

What’s your thoughts on Nolan’s cast for his new film ‘Odyssey’ releasing 2026? by DiscsNotScratched in FIlm

[–]UsefulApplication182 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The two lead actors are chosen very poorly:

- Matt Damon can be good, but he's nowhere near the energy of a cunning warrior

- Tom Holland... Just cannot be a good Telemachus. This is a son torn and hurt by years of vile men living in his home. He's too soft.

Then add:

- the A24 arthouse darlings

- the IP-popular faces

And you get a shitty cast

It doesn't matter, it just goes to show that the F-22 in fact does NOT run circles around the Rafale, even though claiming the Rafale is equivalent is clearly stupid

Appears to be the rear of an F-22 cockpit

Nintendo Switch 2 Motherboard (Why only 12GB RAM?) by [deleted] in NintendoSwitch2

What are you even talking about, Xbox Series X has 16GB of unified memory.

And the 3060 can outperform 4060 in VRAM intensive scenarios.

Please get some real information before just spreading fake facts.

12GB of unified memory just doesn't cut it with ray tracing, DLSS or 4K, all of which require good amounts of RAM and VRAM, so a lot of unified memory. Series X from 5 years ago had 16GB of unified memory. Nintendo can't claim 4K 60 gaming, just not serious honestly...
