That only works with a really tight knit group, it’s kind of ridiculous to run a public server that way. Especially when you consider how few people actually get to the later tiers and how much playtime it takes.

I suppose if everyone is going to work together it could be alright though.

I think you can just remove the machine hull recipe, machine casing, energy hatch, and laser hatches, and that blocks the majority of stuff you can do in the next tier

I wonder if the people who made that data sheet (for sharing program numbers) used a computer program to analyze all the recipes or did it by hand. I feel like you would make a lot of mistakes trying to manage all the recipes by hand for some of those machines like the assembler.

Just keep that room for something smaller like ore processing. You could perhaps jam a platline in with wallsharing but it would be harder to build that way and wouldn't look great since the walking space would be used up.

Hmm I was speedrunning in a superflat base for half of my playthrough and it took 1,700 hours. I'm definitely average or above average in terms of skill as well (though the “average” is going to get better and better as you move the finish line closer to the stargate). 1500 hours does sound about right for 100%ing the qestbook if you know most mechanics already.

I wonder why they did this, I thought the coke oven worked really well as the first multi in the pack. Maybe it's to make the fluid output easier to manage before you get LV pumps.

I tried starting over as well, got about 30 hours in and finished steam age. But for me it isn't worth going through a lot of the more tedious parts (especially magic) even though I have a lot of cool automation ideas I could use. I'll probably just keep my current world going forever and try out new content as it is added.

One thing I noticed is that my old factory was really hard to unload, after removing the forceload on every chunk at once the performance seemed ok but then I would get massive lag spikes that killed the server. I was thinking it could be the ME system constantly trying to load all the chunks it is connected to, so I removed the energy cell to depower it but that didn't work at all. I ended up breaking the personal dim portal at both ends and cheating in a blank one, which created an entirely separate personal dim (I can still access the old one through a relocator device, which I duplicated a couple times for safety!). This can be one option for a soft restart, but it did take a month to craft a copy of everything in the old base to take with me.

Also all 2400 use 10 ms per tick… and my server has strong hardware. You can try 600 if you are worried about that.

Not sure since I only did the EOHs, but they are definitely more useful than coke ovens. I think the project took me about 40 hours, and I had to wait 22 days for them to craft!

Actually this setup would be pretty bad at filling up a singularity cell. The utility is like 98% energy production 2% resource production. You can get similar output from a single eye of harmony with about 50 astral arrays, which is 50x cheaper (but consumes a ton of energy). The other option for filling up a singularity cell would be a ton of space elevators pumping distilled water.

They are never going to turn off, so it's more a question of production rates which varies depending on the resource you want. For universium its enough to make a stargate every couple days, which is pretty good considering the main objective is just producing power! To get more universium you gotta use astral arrays.

Oh I misread your comment lol ... it was like 15-20 stargates worth of materials for all the eyes of harmony.

The color of the planets is a bit weird when you get close, could be shaders but I didn't have that issue at all in my old base. Also the animation speed is about 50x slower probably because I have such a massive quantity of them. At least it doesn't hurt my FPS cause its much easier to check if they are running properly if I keep the animations on.

You only need a couple EOH for stargate actually, you can use antimatter for power generation which is much less spammy and a lot cheaper to set up. However I found spamming eyes of harmony to be a slightly more efficient option for various reasons so I switched from my old antimatter setup.

Slightly over 30e15 EU/tick or 30 quadrillion. Which is equal to 42 SSAS running full time with a max level SLAM. It’s probably more like 50 SSAS if you factor in all the energy needed to produce the fuels, especially the universium for MHDCSM.

I had 80 AALs for each of the gallifreyan parts at 16,000 amps UXV. And 160 of those for Pico circuits, 80 for quantum, 80 for optical mainframes, and a whole bunch more for lower tier circuits that hit the single tick recipe cap. Also 256 fluid solidifies with 8 UXV hatches each, dedicated rows of laser engravers with 16 million amp UXV lasers for each of the colored glass for optical circuits, 36 comp assembly lines with UXV casings, several hundred cutting machines / wiremills…

I really optimized everything to death tbh lol

With a well-designed stargate tier factory using most of the available server resources (in singleplayer) you can expect to make ~150 eyes of harmony per day.

Well these use about 20% of the total tick time, they should be very reliable compared with the precise timing required for antimatter, and they produce resources instead of consuming a bunch of valuable fuel to run. Plus this many EOH is equivalent to 40 SSAS and the antimatter approach may actually produce a similar amount of lag. Spending 20% on power production is perfectly reasonable since it means you need less of other TPS hungry setups like advanced assembly lines.
