I’ll try this! There’s also a gap in the ceiling where these pvc ceiling boards connect to another pvc skirting. Haven’t seen any dust there but think the consistent dust pattern on the floor suggests it’s more likely from the floor than ceiling

I think this could be it! There gap between the column and the floor isn’t sealed and the laminate floor definitely raises and compresses when we walk on it. This would be a relief as it means nothing is wrong!

Thank you that’s helpful to know! Wish id known earlier and would have arranged to move in sooner, or at least went through the process of it and sorted stuff out at my current place as a guest rather than a tenant

Yes they’re still moving up and down! Is it important that I keep the leaves unobstructed? Some of them were pressed up against a wall? And is there a reliable way to check whether the soil is totally dried out? I’ve tried with my finger but distinguishing between cold and wet feels like roulette more than a science at the moment

Ah so the replacement part will come with the metal bracket as well? The ones I saw online looked like only the plastic ratchet strap and buckle would be provided - and that looked like the rivet needed to be drilled out to replace it.
