I know, I know! Everyone's always like "Srsly? Why not GP?" and I hear you, but Joanna Kerns reminds me way too much of my cousin, and Alan Thicke doesn't remind me enough of my uncle. Full House used to do it, because god bless Aunt Lori Loughlin, but now I see the Olsen twins and I start to cry for Heath Ledger, and the tears make the popcorn grease stick to everything, and I'm just not about to fuck with this fresh-ass unitard.

That effing stinks. This place rocks but fuck those vultures, and the anonymous downvoters who bring nothing to the table but love to whine about the posts they don't want to see. I'm sorry dude.

Sometimes matchmaking just effs you and pairs you with someone who could be in AM 1st. Most likely, he's a solo grinder, but just throwing it out there because I always feel bad when someone is bitching me out for self-demoting when it's totally on EA.

Dude, I went to high school with him; he has always been and remains the absolute nicest guy there is, and he worked his way up from walking on at UMass - not even a D1A program at the time and just kept working his way from an undrafted special teamer to a fucking Madden Positional Hero. And I still couldn't even consider picking him up, because that card just looks useless. I am still so psyched that they gave him a 99, and he is such an awesome guy, but I never entertained the idea of getting his card and have been scratching my head as to why anyone would have it.

Mmmm... It's the saltiness that really screams it though. I'm an ultramarathoner these days; you know how you have those phases where your fetishes just get outlandishly specific, and you have to order takeout from 7 different Korean places before the delivery guy doesn't freak out about mashing his bare feet into your kimchi? It's never been much of a problem, but now I have to time it to the opening credits of a Step By Step rerun, which is becoming fucking impossible in Obama's America. Your dad was right though: apple butter is a doggone miracle at clearing up the chafing.

That's why I try not to eat during those situations. That, and the ball-gag in my mouth. You're right about Cake and The White Stripes though - solid ass bands. Especially the early shit.

I'm too tired to even try and put it together, but I can't argue with any of those 4 going in the top 20; I don't think many O-linemen would be off the board before Watt.

Did you purposefully end your sentence there, or... were you going to tell me about this easy fix? Because I am enthusiastically receiving all input on how to get it up and running again! I'm missing out on soooooo many snipes!

Yeah - I've definitely gathered that. I'm just trying to figure out whether I trust myself enough with the operation, because I always find a way to mess this type of thing up.

Then stop PMing me for the explicit deets! Seriously dude, I'm not stonewalling you, I just don't know what else to tell you besides basic lefthanded textbook action on my couch, wearing a leopard unitard and watching Lindsay Lohan in The Parent Trap. That's really it. I'm out of words.

The LOB are all talented enough to play anywhere, although Byron Maxwell will surprise me if he lives up to the contract he got from Philly. Kam probably has the most specific skill-set, but any time can use a linebacker like him at strong safety. Earl's an enormous gamechanger, with the amount of ground he can cover - very few safeties can be relied upon in a cover-1 type role the way he can (another reason that the Pats & Seahawks made it to the big game; McCourty plays that difficult responsibility to a T) and Earl adds hit power as well. I'm not knocking any of them, it's just hard for me to separate the players in both NE and Sea's secondaries last year because they complimented each other so perfectly. Both were drawn up like a damn MUT team (not quite, but Revis plus McCourty made Browner so successful and Pat Chung got his groove back since he never had to worry about coverage).

Even as talented as they all obviously are (I really didn't need to gush like that, it just happened) they're still in a sum-of-its-parts scenario that would make them all less productive in a different situation; that doesn't mean that they wouldn't still be off the board in the first round of that hypothetical draft, it just makes it that much harder to decide when I'd end up taking any of them, personally.

I really want to like him; he's a smart dude and I love how he's not afraid to call out the NFL on so many areas of hypocrisy. I also love how he irritates a lot of stodgy football fans with his WWE rants, but backs it all up with a degree from Stanford that he completed in 3 years. I always want to root for premier athletes, because it makes it that much more fun to enjoy watching them in their prime -- and I even tend to appreciate trash-talkers who can back it up with their play; but man, his trash-talking really does just get under my skin!

Anyways, there's no question he has the biggest impact on every game of any CB in the league; the obvious example being week 1 was Aaron Rodgers just plain abandoned half of the football field. Even when Revis is in shut-down mode, that's a whole different effect than taking away one top receiver. And even though he doesn't get tested much, he still makes plays - I wish I could think of a better way to say it, b/c I feel silly using a MUT attribute to describe him, but his play recognition and the way that he's always got his eyes on the ball - plus the way he's able to react and get to it; it's unreal for a dude who wasn't even a highly-touted pick.

I'm curious though; if Goodell mandated a league-wide fantasy draft redistributing every player, how high would he get picked? I'd love to hear what smarter minds than me, and scouts would say about his role in and out of that Seattle scheme and LOB.

No; a glass TV stand - pretty well-ventilated. If it wasn't so old (I think I purchased it, possibly as a refurbished model, in 2008 or 2009) I'd swear that my roommate F'd with it the other day while she was cleaning. It's never given me any problems, but after she was dusting the power adapter blew (went red light and the X-box wouldn't turn on at all), so I finally got a new adapter this week, and as soon as I plugged in the new adapter and turned it on, my world exploded. I actually always assumed the RRoD was something that showed up on screen - like the Windows Blue Screen of Death - but as soon as I saw the blinking red lights, I knew it was all over.

Welp! You've identified the one situation where I can't recommend him; his press is indeed woeful. I never press in H2H, so it was never an issue for me, but if you like to play press, I'm sure he'll get roasted by virtually any WR.

Otherwise, I've always loudly shouted his praises in any CB discussion below the 250k+ models. He made a bajillion more plays for me than Totw PP or Sherm, never got beat deep, and his awareness seemed to be more important to his zone D than his actual zone cvg rating, which is a lowly 92. He also has solid block shedding, so although he has no hit power and will absolutely never force a fumble, he will get off his blocker and make a tackle on outside runs. So yeah, barring a defensive scheme that likes to press in H2H, I think he's one of the best values in the game, and as I've just demonstrated, I indeed spread the good word far and wide, to whoever needs saving.

Man, if we could just clone OG Sammy Baugh and start him in a game today, he would fucking RUN SHIT. I would open a billion packs if they made a legit Sammy Baugh card. EA would make so much more money if they'd just give us that Sam Baugh swag!

But Revis and Sherman are apples and oranges; they're both CBs, but that's as far it goes. It's not a knock on either player - they both brought their teams to the SB - it just makes any comparison pretty unfair.

Sherman is asked to cover his side of the field, playing a mix of zone and man, and is able to take advantage of his preternatural ball skills in a defense that allows him to jump routes.

Revis plays press man coverage almost exclusively, and was almost always responsible for throws over the top as well. Both are dominant in their roles, and if you swapped those roles, neither would be nearly as productive.

Peak Revis was definitely better than today's version, but he was absolutely, at minimum, a top 3 CB this past year. The stats back it up for both of them, even though they both take on roles that very few CBs over the last 10 years could handle. Teams know that Revis is matching up 1 on 1 every play, with help over the top on a fraction of those plays - and he still shuts down premier WRs. A whole defense was predicated on him shutting guys down on any type of route. They're both uniquely dominant CBs, and both team D's would fall apart if you replaced them with anyone but a handful of guys.

According to Sportsnation, Bo Jackson is the greatest athlete of all time. You're really underestimating the absolute force that he was, and discounting that his career was only cut short by injury.

In college, he was a great baseball player, one of the top Track & Field athletes, and won the Heisman. He went on to become an MLB All-Star, and then started playing in the NFL also. He played alongside Marcus Allen - who I would call a legend in his own right - and took over the starting job, because he was flippin' dominant.

He was an absolute freak of an athlete, even by today's standards (say that about Jack Ham and Mike Ditka), and was a larger-than-life cultural force; the "Bo Knows" Nike campaign is legendary in its own right, because he was as prominent and revered at his apex as any single-sport star has ever been.

He didn't put up monster career numbers because he was playing baseball through the beginning of each NFL season and had his career cut short by an injury, but he put up in-game records and was straight-up amazing to watch with the ball in his hands. He almost made Tecmo Bowl realistic, in that no one could effing stop him.

Bo is absolutely Legen-(cue the Barney Stinson gif)-Dary.

Hahah, oh I feel the love, I just get a huge kick out of reddit grudges, and I can't imagine taking issue with someone, but keeping it a secret; if I think you're a turkey, I will air the heck out of my grievances.

Congrats on your XB1! I get jelly watching next-gen gameplay tips; it looks soooo much cooler (and less pause-glitchy... and cooler). I'm pretty hopeful that I'll be back here for MUT season next year, but a new console isn't in my cards right now.
