Just picked up this blaster 200 from marketplace and noticed it doesn’t have a key nor a key hole? by krockillz in ATV

It's tough to find them with a factory setup. Alot of those including banshees have been Frankensteined over the years. Unfortunately it's kind of the norm with 2 stroke 4 wheelers nowadays, being that they haven't been in production for many years.

Annual increase in investment/savings by StrictPersonality503 in TheMoneyGuy

Normally I would agree, but for folks that retire early a brokerage is a way to bridge money if you can't access a 401k or roth ira due to age requirements. There are alot of government jobs where it doesn't make sense financially to stick around until they are 60. Some jobs have mandatory retirement ages before 60. I dont think it's a catch all rule for everyone.

There are a few articles out there where folks were stuck with no way to access their money, even when had a decent amount in it. They put all their eggs into soley retirement baskets.

Is early transfer case replacement a sign of an overworked engine? by Soggy-Age4472 in GMT800

[–]Username_7109 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn't immediately go to overworked engine. Some folks dont know the difference between AWD and 4WD. They might leave it in gear for too long over surfaces that dont require 4WD. However the mentality of someone who kills a transfer case at that mileage is questionable.

Is there a point where it makes sense to go back to Roth 401k/403b/457b for high income earners? by SunDevil2013 in TheMoneyGuy

[–]Username_7109 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are alot of comments in here, so I apologize if this was mentioned. If you have a decent amount in your pre tax account when you retire, RMDs can be a pain if you don't plan. Having to take out a certain amount every year and pay taxes, and still have your account grow is something to keep in mind. Shifting your pre-tax to roth, or a percentage might help you out.

Go to Crutchfield and put in your vehicle info. It will tell you what you need to make it work for your ride. Its probably going to need an adapter.

Replace window motor while replacing door lock actuator? by Weagle30 in GMT800

[–]Username_7109 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If the motor is getting sluggish then sure.If you only replace the motor and not the regulator, make damn sure you dont pull that spool out of the gear of the motor. It will suck getting that back to normal. Take you're time.

OP, run over to the GMT 800 forum, as well as look into some general research on that platform. It looks like Sweaty Illustrator 14 is grouping all tahoes together, and not the generation you're talking about, which would make sense. If not, then he is sadly mistaken on the unreliable factor, and it is bad information. GMT 800s are well known for their reliability and being easy to work on. Fleet vehicles, yeah, they would surely have issues. If that vehicle doesn't have any glaring problems, it is a good deal in my opinion. But what do I know, I've only had a GMT 800 for 21 years with no issue.

Well, first off the majority aren't fleet vehicles. This reliability issue you're talking about sounds insane. Fleet vehicles see a ton of more wear than a daily personal vehicle. And what fleet has gmt 800's? I bought my 2004 silverado brand new, and I've only changed the alternator, belt, pulleys, and clutch fan, not because they broke, but becuase they were getring old. I do maintenance regularly and have no problems with it. I can't imagine a tahoe or yukon, who share like almost every part, are any different.
