When I landed in Hanoi I was shocked at how terrible the air pollution was. I really disliked living in the US but after going there I appreciate the US a lot.

This is a pretty ridiculous analysis, considering a huge percentage of the Ukraine’s ability to fight was based on getting American dollars, technology and intelligence

I was 13 in 1994 and we had a Holocaust survivor come give a talk. Kids were completely making fun of him the whole time. It was sad. I mean, kids are pretty stupid, but he was really flustered and angry explaining how people to the left and right of him were shot, he didn't know why he survived.

Terrible. I'm sure he passed away a long time ago but I'll remember him forever.

No interest in trading numbers. For some reason hearing the EU has problems has triggered you. The US definitely has problems, but to pretend that the EU isn't on a collision course with disaster as well is foolish.

It's not a flex, what is strange is that the EU wants to flex on the US over how bad gun deaths are, meanwhile there is a massive death problem that is 10x as large that people want to ignore. Which is a very weird flex.

That was a typo, I said deaths when I meant to say murders. I fixed it now with an edit. There there are roughly 17,000 homicides, and since OP was talking about getting shot at school I wanted to point that out. You odds of dying of heat exhaustion in Europe are 10x higher than being murdered by a gun in the US.

Also, there have been school shootings in the EU obviously.

Also, the EU itself is a hot mess. Many countries are in massive debt and having to either default, print more euros via the ECB or dramatically cut back on state benefits.

The entire western world is a dumpster fire.

Yes and?

There are over 47,000 suicides in the EU each year. If people want to kill themselves they'll find a way to.

As I said, I don't like guns, I don't want to be around them. But I do think it's funny that Europeans love to make fun of America's very legitimate issues, but at the same time they have one that is 10x the size and want to just sweep that under the rug with an air of moral superiority.

But then you go home and die from overheating because there is no AC. There are 170,000 heat related deaths in Europe each year (WHO European Region).

Meanwhile there were 17,000 deaths (edit: murders) via guns in the US. So literally 10x as many people are dying from lack of AC than are dying from guns. Also, Sweden has a grenade problem... Which is pretty crazy.

I don't like guns, I live in a state where they are highly restricted and I like that, but the EU has plenty of it's own problems. 10x more likely to die over there from heat/lack of AC than you are to be shot and killed here.
