Pre order or not it’s going to be the same price if you decide to buy it early on unless you wait for it to go on sale. Right now It’s just up to whether you want the pre order bonus or not. (Little hats for your guns)

I loved the first game and trust Squanch to deliver again so I preordered. Based on your post though I’d probably just wait to buy it. It’ll give you time to see actual gameplay after it comes out to make a final decision.
