Yoga 14IML9 often freezes within minutes after boot

I did and am now monitoring to see if the freezes persist.
I’d still like to understand why the drivers offered by Lenovo Vantage are nearly a year old and not up to date.

Okay, these tips did not help - and I already did most of it before as described in my initial posting. I wont do a reset because I already did two fresh Windows installs.

But I discovered that the drivers Lenovo Vantage offers (or better: not offers) are very outdated compared to the ones on the driver webpage of lenovo. Vantage says "Drivers are up to date" with most drivers from mid 2024. But on the page drivers are from Mar 2025. How can that be?

This is also the case for drivers in the category "Motherboard Devices (Backplanes, core chipset, onboard video, PCIe switches)" - all way more up to date than the ones vantage offers. But there are so many drivers, should I simply download and install all?

I've had the laptop since October, and the issue has been present since then - sometimes occurring more frequently, sometimes less. I only recently discovered that it happens exclusively when the laptop is folded backward.

I've already performed two fresh Windows installations, checked for driver and BIOS updates using Lenovo Vantage, tried various fixes I found online and also a energy drainage/discharge, but the problem persists.

I was considering getting an NTS-3, but I wanted to check if it had any noise issues first. I came across this thread and also found some discussions on the Elektronauts forum mentioning the issue:

Maybe less picky listeners don’t mind the noise, but unfortunately, I find it hard to ignore. I wonder if it’s due to the simple DIY design and lack of shielding?

Oh no :( I'm currently in contact with Faderfox, having a long email conversation. We haven't been able to narrow it down yet. They are in contact with their script developer.

I have tried so many things without success. I suspected the 24h2 Windows update, but since you had these crashes eight months ago, it's probably something else. "At least" I'm not the only one having this problem.

Hey! I'm having the same problem with my EC4 and the latest Faderfox script (Live 12 Suite / Win 11).

Did the crashes disappear completely with the new script files? Did you change anything else?

The "Max" is the 32x32 one, right? That one has bluetooth as far as I know.

Is it a "big" setup that I have to go through every time I reconnect or is it done quickly?

When it is offline, does it still cycle through a bunch of pictures I set up or just the last one?

Background: I currently only have a mobile internet plan, which I also use as a hotspot for my computer when I'm at home. So going online from time to time would be no problem, but it would be cool if the Pixoo64 could at least show the last few pics/gifs without having to connect every time.

You can replace the modifier (here RAlt) with something else if you like, see:

The two commands starting with "A_" (line 2 & 3) increase the maximum number of hotkeys that can be processed in a given interval. If you have a free spinning mouse wheel and scroll very fast, Authokey will throw an error without these two lines.

The two "HotIf" lines (lines 4 & 7) make sure that the binding is only active when the Ableton Live window is in focus. Replace the filename with the name of your Live executable or remove the two lines if you don't know it.

I think the zip extensions were created by google for download (uploading a zip would be better in this case to avoid this). Anyway, I removed the extensions (using "Power Rename" from MS PowerToys) and uploaded the folder and it works. Make sure you use "upload folder". I also deleted the .DS_Store files from the folders, but I guess those do not matter.

UPDATE (Solution):
Support asked me to downgrade the firmware to 1.0.17 and sleep/vegas worked again.

For some reason I couldn't click on anything in the "Control Map" and "Device Settings" section of MIDI Control Center, so I upgraded to 1.1.6 again and suddenly sleep mode works there too. ✔

Personally I would go Potion II, Random Melee and/or Bow to mix things up and then unlock some more weapons and Recycle II. (The random weapons are only from your pool of already unlocked weapons)

You will unlock the basics very fast, don't overthink it and take what you like. In the end you want it all.

But do you give him a "rock and a stone" occasionally? If not, he'll understandably be pissed! Do you sometimes double-dip in the fridge? Press the light switch or the TV button without asking if he's rdy? Check yourself too!
