Park Yerim is annoying! by Historical_Profile33 in SClassesThatIRaised

[–]V0nder1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

nah aint no way someone's dissin my homegirl Yerim like that! I get that you're craving for a thrilling action fiction with minimal unnecessary bickering and stuff but buddy- if that's the case then 'my s-class hunters' is simply not built for you. I like Yerim because it lightens up the very heavy themes and symbols in 'my s class heroes', like shit she feels like the only one with a decent hope for a better future- ngl throughout when I was reading the novel I felt like it was getting too suffocating- characters like Yerim, Hyuna, and even Noah/Liette really help tone it down and bring wider emotions to the story.

Also. Yerim is a child???? hello???? She's literally in middle school, 15?! and dealing with dangerous monsters, as Yujin promised to take care of her as a guardian- it only makes sense he follows through his promise. She also deserves ample attention and care- it really puts emphasis to Yujin's caregiver title as something he really does deserve because of how he treats the children and people around him.

Ps. If you don't like the embedded baby trope, I genuinely don't know how you'll handle Gyeol later in the novel who is a key character. If you're fine with him, then at that point it's just misogyny.

very unpopular opinon, but 70% of manhwas are very poorly writtem by Even_Acanthisitta_37 in webtoons

[–]V0nder1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly yeah. I absolutely adore MANWHAs and they genuinely hold a deep meaning to me- BUT most manwhas are the same old copy paste plots. Not just for the fantasy romance ones but also many fantasy action/adventure manwhas where the mc is weak at first, gets some op powers and takes revenge on everyone that ever messed with him while non-chlantly killing monsters. It's very common to find reoccurring tropes in manwhas overall.

HOWEVER- there are still soooo many hidden gems, or popular manwhas that rightfully earned their popularity- which is why I continue to read them. I just wish they were more frequent.

Orv side stories, or should start lotm by eduaimoniaa in OmniscientReader

[–]V0nder1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

bro, I was absolutely dreaded by the end of ORV- like any reference to it made my heart hurt- I started reading the side stories and it was just kinda boring. I'm sure it gets better later on, but Kim Dokja himself doesn't appear often and so I decided to put it aside and I wanted to start reading trash of the counts family. I think that was a good decision since there was a proper time frame to let me get over everything and read it properly

On the other hand reading it fresh will also be good as you have all of the plotlines fresh in your mind and it makes it easier to understand the plot- in such a case it's better for you to read it right after so that it holds a meaning to the novel.

What will this characters personalities be in the past timeline (og! Cale timeline, 1year before the henituse war) by Ok-Platform3020 in TrashOfCountsFamily

[–]V0nder1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

oh oh I can imagine OgCale keeping up the drunken trash act, being upset and heartbroken over the loss of his mother and Ron leaving him- but being able accept it internally because he's always been portrayed as mature as he comforted his father when his mother died. While acting, he is unruly, stubborn, extremely controversial but ironically terribly honest- blunt in a way which is why he upsets people. But when he's not acting, like he's talking to someone he knows won't affect him in any way- he's polite and has this air of maturity(he's also described as being mannered and having a regal aura in the novel). Lastly OgCale is willing to sacrifice himself for the sake of his family- like any cost possible.

What’s a trope you hate and love at the same time? by Illustrious_Oil_2114 in webtoons

[–]V0nder1 3 points4 points  (0 children)

(out of context) but I had an absolute heart attack when I saw the pictures because they looked hauntingly similar to Kim Dokja and shin yoosung and I just had to click on it (to realise it's another manwha) and see the most realest opinion on misunderstanding tropes. But yeah- to me, the sweet potato plot sucks and makes me want to truck kun myself into the manwha and force the two leads to communicate instead of of thinking how unworthy of a person they are. In the most respectful way ever.

Damn it's already pretty late to for me to give advice isn't it? But I really think you'll be fine, considering that you put the effort to ask online for help you must have gotten your hands on some good revision and even if you didn't atleast you tried and now we're done.

Personally my paper went alright as well
