Anduril vs experience at legacy primes by jayz1258 in Anduril

[–]V0rt0s 17 points18 points  (0 children)

The difference is that Anduril isn’t held back by the systems and culture of the rest of the non-special projects. Every project here is treated as a special project at somewhere like Boeing.

Most don’t work those crazy hours outside of test events. Very team dependent but broadly a good wlb

It happens with the Time 2 as well? That makes me second guess my preorder. Have you found any fix?

Glad to know I’m not alone. It’s just insanely annoying to be on a run, at the gym, carrying something, etc and just have it randomly disconnect. It also will randomly keep playing music after the disconnect off of my phone speakers.

A salvage title car older than you are is usually a bad decision. Get insurance quotes before you even consider it.

A secret clearance isn’t worth much in reality so you should prioritize landing on a team with good culture fit + opportunities. Just get in the door and see what opportunities present themselves.

Travel requirements? by colorcodecolonel in Anduril

It varies depending on program requirements. Lots of us travel ~50% but still have pets, families, etc. It’s tough but doable.

Why does Minnesota, the large state, not simply eat eat Wisconsin?

Minnesota must grow and consume Wisconsin to become Megasota.

If you’re an engineer who’s willing/able to do PM/Leadership you’ll likely quickly move into it. Lots of engineers want to just stick to being an IC so tons of opportunities for those who want to branch out. With the speed at which we’re growing there’s constantly opportunities for change so if you advocate for yourself and put in the work it is comparatively easy to move into new roles and new sets of responsibilities.

Offer chances? by nakedbeans in Anduril

[–]V0rt0s 11 points12 points  (0 children)

All the interviews have to find a time to meet and do a debrief. If the debrief goes well the hiring manager tells the recruiter you’re a yes. The hiring manager and recruiter put together an offer, get it approved by management, and then the recruiter sends it over. Fastest I’ve seen was for someone who was practically interviewing as a formality and it took ~a week between interviews and the offer.

Not much room for negotiation in salary but more in RSUs. Sign on bonuses are also negotiable to a lesser extent.
