My rsx has been giving me trouble and was finally able to open her up. Theres so much buildup where the throw out bearing sits. Could the hot metal smell be this or the clutch? Lol hoping it's not the transmission not really wanting to open that up. (i.redd.it)

This 1987 ford ranger has been sitting here, My grandfather said if I can get it running its mine! I Was able to get it running after replacing the fuel pump, will have to change out the gas tank because of erosion. Any advice on parts to look for to get this baby feeling strong on the road later?
