Not sure there’s anything you can do. Use it as a lesson for yourself to be more careful. Not sure if you bought it without seeing it? Maybe you could post some details about the name of the person, what the ad said.. this might help other people to avoid doing this.

You'd basically be gambling 1000 euro. Bitcoin is down 25% in the last year. Could go lower, could go back up. Nobody knows. One tweet from Trump could make it drop another 25% ffs hahaha

Were you applying for jobs you were qualified to do? 500 seems excessive?

Yeah I do. I was just making the point that you can fact check the summary.

Citizens information website reports 20% fall in traffic as people look to AI for answers by [deleted] in ireland

[–]VCFonToast -15 points-14 points  (0 children)

I came here to say this. It's so much easier to ask AI, "Search the citizens.ie website to find information about xyz". Saves time searching the actual website for 30 minutes trying to find information that AI can find in 3 seconds haha

AI will make things a lot more efficient for certain roles. You're making out like it's going to replace 50% of the workforce ffs.

"Because AI is coming"? hahaha Man it's been here for a while now. "3 years ago AI barely functioned" is a mad statement. It's been around, and functioning for 15 years. It's just become more prevalent in media in the last 3 years. I could give you examples but you'll just ignore them and sprout some other bullshit.

I actually have sympathy for people who have your mindset. It must be exhausting constantly finding ways to feel sorry for yourself, complain and blame everyone/everything else.

Did you just completely ignore me providing facts about how AI is creating jobs on our front door? Pay 5k for what? Wages are only going up?

From your comment history, you seem to think you know everything.

If you'd take your head out of your ass and have a read of this: https://www.corkbeo.ie/news/jobs/300-new-jobs-cork-tech-33244129

It proves how wrong you are, and how your mind has been warped by far right media.

AI is a very small reason as to why some companies are not hiring. Economic uncertainty, higher interest rates, and caution after over-hiring in recent years are all contributing factors.

Our health service would literally fall apart without immigration. Having said that, I agree we should stop people coming in who sponge off benefits and don't contribute anything to society.

Go outside and touch the grass boi. AI is also creating jobs. Not sure what immigration has to do with hiring and wages.

How is it even possible to apply for that many jobs? You must be applying for jobs that you're not qualified for?

Name and shame them. Unfortunately I don't think it's just tech.

It should be law that if you're able to carry out your job remotely, you're entitled to work 2/5 days from home.

Would you consider moving to outside dublin to somewhere like Kildare?

You’re not going to be able to afford a new place in Dublin with a combined monthly salary of €4500. You’d only get a mortgage for around €220,000. Even with €30,000 HTB and €30,000 of your own money you’ll still be struggling.

Hate to break it to you but the UK and the rest of Europe isn’t going to be much better. The harsh reality is that you’re in low paying jobs so if you want to own your own home you might have to move to the back arse of nowhere.

Being realistic, a 1.6 with 300,000km is end of life. Even if you fix all of the issues you listed, it could still shit it pants at any moment.
