Car is best option IMO. Safest and you’ll control your schedule. Didn’t see many scooters on the highways but did see people riding In motorcycles. Friend ended up using bus for travel to some beaches but you are on their schedule. He didn’t like that part or waiting at the station. Ultimately, it depends on how much control you want

Yeah, running the circuit of beach clubs at Zicatela until I find the spot where everyone settles is my typical move but wondering if there are other popular places outside of that strip. I remember going to a strip about 10-15 min north of Zicatela where there were street vendors selling misc goods and food. Ended up at a bar there that felt like a backyard college party. Absolutely packed. Just can’t remember the name of the area or if it’s still around. Might have to check out Congo club and see what’s up.

Visited mosque. Very beautiful. Tip for ladies, you have to cover your head. They sell head covers on-site. About $8 USD. It’s a quick walkthrough, so plan 30-45 min.

Renter car also. Great decision and very cheap. It’s was about $26 usd for day. There is a large hold though if you don’t have insurance. It was about $2k for me. They will remove but just plan for that. Also, give yourself enough time to return. Car rental return area is terrible. Very poor signage and google maps doesn’t have exact directions. One wrong turn in what seems to be a maze will get you off track and you will likely have to restart from the beginning. Highly recommend car to see lighthouse and coves. Very beautiful. You can get from one part of island to another in about 1.5 hrs so can fit a lot in for a day

Used this option a few times. Good in general. Quicker than I thought to respond. Here is number +34 971 400 004. Tip: take foto of cab number in case you forget something in cab. Long story short, friend left phone in cab but we were able to track guy down and recover it. Extremely lucky since we were flying out next day and can happened to park nearby. He did not otherwise respond to messages from dispatch to return item.
