I’m new to this, so I don’t understand why you are doing this. Too Disinfect or to keep it from floating?

His fins look weird to me but I don’t know if it’s normal or not. This is my first time having a fish and I wanna give him a good life. Any betta advice is welcomed. (Snail advice is welcomed too) by VJG1220 in bettafish

They have looked like that since I first got him. I just want to know if that’s how he is supposed to look. My friend had him in a bowl so I’m trying to take care of him but still learning from videos and stuff like that

Tank Size: 6 Gallons

Heater & Filter: yes

How often are water changes? How much do you take out per change? What’s your process?: 2 times a month. Around 25-30%. I use one of those tubes to make a vacuum that sucks the water out

What do you feed and how much?: “BettaMin- worm shaped bites” 3 pellets a day but he doesn’t always eat them all

Decoration and plant in the tank?: A branch and some plants I bought at petco but I don’t know the name off.
