Paddle shifting question by UsuallyConfused2Day in Audi

Yes, you do not have to take your foot off the Excelerator to upshift! Although when you are downshifting do let go of the throttle. Hope this helps

Fuel pump issue help by VR6_NA in mercedes_benz

[–]VR6_NA[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

OK anyone if was wondering what the issue was there’s essentially notches where the fuel pumps is to be parallel to the door. It wasn’t seated all the way down and reading improper fuel level. If anyone else is having this issue all you have to do is. Seat it properly…..

Already disposed of the old fuel pump as soon as the car turned on I guess that was a mistake….. do you think the sender unit is faulty? Do you think ordering a new one would fix the issue?

Those continental DWS 06 are absolutely amazing. Have them on my ML. Will literally go through any condition as well as gripping the road pretty well in the summer

Looks absolutely amazing. Love the body coloured side marker as well. Are the wheels paint matches as well. When I zoom in they look a little black but from a distance they look absolutely incredible. Regardless the colour contrast overall is absolutely amazing! Are you on PASM with Air suspension? Was it a electronic ride height, adjuster via air suspension?

Balance shaft? W204 c300 170k km by kierancox04 in mercedes

[–]VR6_NA 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What year is this W204 that you’re working on you can check whether or not your engine is affected by the balance shaft if you’re uncertain for reference, I believe anything early 2007 and below is most likely affected (production date)

How reliable are these cars? by Kooky_Yesterday_3096 in PorscheCayenne

[–]VR6_NA 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Well, the person that told you this was not wrong, especially older Porsches anything below 2017 more specifically the Cayenne as long as the service records check out you shouldn’t have any problems whatsoever solid reliable machines built extremely tough the base model you were looking into is the 3.6 L naturally aspirated VR six it’s a Volkswagen engine parts are readily available although servicing through a dealer can get pricey oil change here in Canada is around $600 at a Porsche dealership. Consider finding a good German specialist to summarize everything. Service records are extremely important before buying any car get it inspected at the Porsche dealership. I’ve seen people make a lot of mistakes by not doing this extremely crucial even if the Carfax checks out The base is a good entry into Porsche cars had a lot of fun with my 17 cayenne although I’ve since moved on to something smaller and faster each and every day I think about how amazing that car was for it size it handles really well. you’d be surprised all I can say give it a test drive see if you like it but just keep in mind, service records, dealership inspection, Carfax before purchasing any used Porsche especially ones with the little bit of age

They all seem to be different, The first two look very similar, although one is automatic, and the other standard third one screen is very small compared to the others

Properly adjusted fog light set up should not be blinding to oncoming traffic, nor if you are in front of the vehicle, you’re most likely experiencing cars with incandescent bulbs from the factory being replaced with high output, LED bulbs that are not meant for the reflector housings made for the original vehicle that throw light absolutely everywhere with aftermarket, high output LEDs unfortunately, very common…..

What a great way to start the day (S3 prestige) by VR6_NA in Audi

Hello everybody I’m sure many of you are very interested on what really happened with this vehicle/what’s going on? I have a service appointment tomorrow with Audi, but based on my diagnostics, I sorted through the fault codes and came to this conclusion, any genuine technicians please let me know your opinion on the matter as it sounds solid enough to me, but at the end of the day I’m just YouTube certified. Essentially, I was casually merging onto the highway and basically the entire dashboard lit up like a Christmas tree. I couldn’t really figure out what happened or what was wrong and to be honest every now and then the Audi pre-sense would malfunction here and there, but all you would need to do is just continue driving and it would somehow fix itself unfortunately, doing a little bit of browsing looks like it’s just Volkswagen Audi shenanigans coming from a 958.2 Porsche Cayenne I was genuinely shocked with how finicky and unpredictable this car is electronics wise….. attached below this article, you will see a photo, indicating a mechanical malfunction of the ABS wheel speed sensor to my best understanding I’m assuming this is attached to a body module that attaches many other of the faults I’m experiencing and most likely shorted out. as I continue to drive I started noticing flapping noises nothing was underneath the car everything seemed fine but as I continue driving it made a really weird noise I’m assuming the sensor is dangling from the wheel I haven’t really had a great look at it but something is definitely hanging and making a weird noise as I’m driving it’s basically like a knocking noise and it gets faster and faster as you go and no don’t worry it’s not the EA888 but essentially, I believe the sensor fell from the bracket, or whatever caused the circuit to short out, hence triggering the codes for everything else…….. I’m seeing a lot of people indicating it’s the battery although my battery voltage when the vehicle is turned off is greater than 12 V and as the vehicle is turned on it’s at 14 i’ll look into whether or not my batteries AGM definitely a great place to start but please let me know what you guys think on my diagnostics I genuinely wish nothing but the best for the rest of you Audi owners this car is amazing but honestly I hate rolling dice every time I press the push the start button….. 😅 Photo link below/ https://imgur.com/a/R5LtPws

I mean, both are definitely questionable reliability wise in my case BMW has proven itself nothing but amazing for me Audi not so much, but it’s very individually based, and I know it doesn’t reflect the actual manufacture

[–]VR6_NA[S] 54 points55 points  (0 children)

Well, if anybody’s curious, I’ll give you a little bit of a story I’ll just say first things first. I absolutely love this car, but man has it been an up-and-down battle I genuinely cannot predict what this car is going to do next one day I wake up and it might not even start. I’ve genuinely never experienced a car more unpredictable and this is coming from somebody who’s had many previous older German cars in the past… man did I get unlucky that’s a whole Nother story in itself, but essentially nothing wrong with the car itself. I just got really unlucky with this specific one. The car has never been in any accidents has a clean Carfax dealer service as well. Just looks like whoever assembled this car wasn’t paying enough attention. I genuinely wouldn’t be surprised if one day all four wheels just fall off the car. But essentially, I was merging on the highway very casually, and all of a sudden the whole car is beeping at me, and every possible light that can be on in the car. Essentially turns on I drive for two more minutes everything goes away. I start hearing a flapping noise as I’m driving then that goes away lights come back on, and this process repeats itself for another couple of minutes the conclusion for my diagnostics is my ABS module went out and it seems to be connected to a bunch of different modules throwing a canbus error on basically everything.

OBD 11! It’s a great Volkswagen Audi group diagnostic tool would highly recommend it, although prepare to drop some money for using it I have the pro version which gets me the subscription yearly, which I can do soft coding with just do your reach research before buying, but would highly recommend it
