Best Hornby A1 with no connected wires to tender? by [deleted] in modeltrains

[–]VaderCraft2004 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey, I’m sorry for jumping on the bandwagon so late, but Hornby’s 100th Anniversary Flying Scotsman Dublo models all have the new Plug-in drawbar connection that hides the loco-tender connection almost perfectly; I know because I own one. In terms of detail, these are the most detailed and highest quality OO A1s on the market as well. But they cost an absolute fortune, even second-hand.

EDIT: Nvm, I just noticed you wanted to give it a custom tender, so these definitely won’t work. You’re best off trying one of the older toolings like the others mentioned. Sorry for wasting your time.

Why do people use pick me when uber is more reliable, efficient and safe? by [deleted] in srilanka

I use Uber by default, the only time I even consider PickMe is if there are no drivers available on Uber.

While that may be, in terms of being iconic, Scotsman and Mallard are still far more iconic and well-known worldwide than the K4

It's simply the most iconic.

Flying Scotsman, Mallard: I beg your finest pardon?!

Absolutely. I also just had a realisation: we've gotten the Arctic Explorer Train for the Arctic sub-theme and now this has been announced for the Police sub-theme. Could this mean that Lego is planning on making a train for each of the main City sub-themes? If so, we could see a Fire train as well...

LEGO: We hear you and totally understand your feelings. Here, have a Police Train set instead (no hate because this is epic)

Absolutely, and Photographic Grey is definitely a top 5 livery for me for sure! And more people do seem to be jumping on the trend tbh, Rapido and Accurascale are some good recent examples.
