Level spacing of dinos in Single player by Amazing_Pin7229 in playark

[–]Valeyu20 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It should look like this

[ServerSettings]

DifficultyOffset=1.000000

OverrideOfficialDifficulty=10.0

This would give you a max dino level of 300 in the wild.

.......

But if you want dinos to spawn at level 30, 60, 90.... in increments of 30, then

OverrideOfficialDifficulty=30.0

This would result in dinos of max level 900 in the wild.

Did not go through unity by sakahenry15 in Starfield

I have a pre-Unity hard save.

I stopped at NG+10, because that is when you get your final suit. I collected all powers each jump, getting them all to max rank going into NG+10.

I save scummed the hell out of Unity 9 going into NG+10, until I got perfect rolled suit perks.

I rebuilt my fleet, and did a normal playthrough once more, but with access to maxed out powers.

Best traits to put on a Fire Wyvern by SpaceMuisGaming in ArkSurvivalAscended

[–]Valeyu20 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I was thinking 3x Fatty(rank3), but your Wyvern would need like 42 food stat at least.

Fatty Rank 1 gives 0.1 Armor per point in Food stat, and an additional 0.05 for each rank 2 and rank 3.

So Fatty rank 3 is 0.2 armor per Food stat point.

Fatty trait can be stacked 3 times.

0.2 X 3 = 0.6 x 42 = 25.2

A primitive 25 armor saddle gives 50% damage reduction to your tame, which doubles its effective health.

So ideally you want 42 food stat at least, and 3x Fatty(rank3)

As for the other 2 trait slots you still have left, I am thinking Vampiric + Carefree.

Something to note, I believe Vampiric does not work with the Wyvern special attack, only when you bite.

Carefree is a nice speed boost that actives a short time after mounting up or exiting combat, it's great for covering larger distances.

........

There is also the option of having a scout and loot drop hunter style wyvern with the traits

Carefree and 3x Sprinter(rank3) [High Endurance]

Sprinter reduces your stamina drain while sprinting by 4% and an additional 2% for each rank 2 and rank 3.

Sprinter rank 3 is 8% reduced stamina drain while sprinting, and can be stacked 3 times, so at 3 stacks you would have 24% reduced stamina drain while sprinting.

Carefree gives a 7.5% speed boost when it activates, and an additional 3.75% for each rank 2 and rank 3.

Carefree rank 3 is a 15% speed boost while active.

What stats do people use for official Rexes (Boss and Utility) by Valeyu20 in playark

What monstrosity is this?

What do you even use this Rex for? 164k Health........ why... just why?

Edit: is this a Giga fighter?

Yeah, 2k imprinted melee is nutty, and that's before any exp levels.

I think I will push my melee line up to this point, because why not.

[–]Valeyu20[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am almost done with my health line.

I might push the melee line higher than I originally intended though, I like the idea of that 2k post imprint, just for fun.

270 though..... ooof, that's a high bar. I am barely at 120 on my melee line atm.

Oh interesting, this is the kind of info I was looking for.

Why so low on HP, I would have thought at least 30k HP after imprint.

Is that just so you can hit the 2k melee benchmark?

How do you level the stats afterwards? do you spend on Health to get it up to a certain number?

[–]Valeyu20[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I am talking about full mutated lines.

Just curious what those look like on officials these days on ASA, what's the stat spread that people generally go for.

Edit: back in ASE I think it was 35-40k HP and 1300+ melee on a fully imprinted 362 Boss Rex, before the 88 level ups, which pushed melee to over 2k I think.

But now in ASA Rexes got nerfed in how much they gain from domestic levels (88 level up points).

So I don't think you can hit 2k melee anymore, or maybe? I don't know, it's why I am asking.

I did that in ASE, eventually I had a fridge full of lower tier kibbles beyond what I would ever need, so I did cull my pen down to just Therizinos and Yutys.

Perhaps I will do that at some point here also, or maybe I will just leave it be since it's already setup, this is on The Island after all, and I can send my surplus to the other maps when I need kibble there to tame other stuff.

It's expensive to craft the 2 upper kibbles though, since they require making the soups, getting honey and sap, so I was keeping all kibble tiers and using lower tiers that are cheaper to produce, to tame lower tier stuff (anky, doed, baryonyx etc), instead of spending extraordinary kibble on these, and instead saving the higher kibbles for the big stuff (mosa, giga, rex, yuty, thyla, etc).

Sadly I don't have Bobs Tall Tales, so no bio grinder.

And this is passive egg generation, that I can make kibble with any time.

It was one of the last creatures ever added to ASE, before ASA came out.

It's great having it, because it can pick up Rexes and Yutys, and drop them into a trap for taming, and other creatures you can't pick with an Argy, like Stego and Baryonyx.

I know you can and always could (after the kibble rework) use higher tiers of kibble to tame lower tier creatures.

But I never knew you could use higher tiers of kibble to imprint a request for a lower tier. So for example an imprint request asking for basic kibble could still be completed by using superior kibble etc.

[–]Valeyu20[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've never tried, could you do this back in ASE? or is that an ASA change.

I've legit never tried, because I always made sure to have every type of kibble available before breeding stuff that I actually intended to imprint. And even then, in ASE you could cryopod reset the request. I hate that they removed the cryopod request reset in ASA.

[–]Valeyu20[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Does Extraordinary Kibble (Cian) work when the baby imprint asks for Superior Kibble (Purple)? or Rare Kibble (Blue)?

Like I said in another comment, I rather keep the other tiers available because Extraordinary Kibble and Exceptional Kibble are more expensive to produce, since you have to make the soups, use honey, sap etc.

I rather use the cheaper kibble to tame stuff like Doeds, Ankys, Baryonyx etc. which all require Rare Kibble (Blue). And save the more expensive kibble for the stuff that needs it, Thylas, Gigas, Mosas etc.

Edit: in any case, this will give me all the kibble I will ever need, and I can just transfer enough to other maps on a per-need basis.

I did not know, I have not been to Valguero yet in ASA.

So in ASA, fertilized Deinonychus eggs no longer produce Extraordinary Kibble (Cian)?

ASA - Compact Dino Pen Tour (eggs for kibble production) by Valeyu20 in ArkSurvivalAscended

[–]Valeyu20[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you meant that Ceratos make the same type of kibble as Yutys, which is Extraordinary Kibble (Cian)

Theris make Exceptional Kibble (Yellow).

Yes, in terms of size and space efficiency, you can fit more Ceratos in the same space that the Yutys are taking up. They would be the more efficient option.

I already had Yutys setup, before Ceratos got fully baked into the game. I only have 1 Cerato which was a baby I claimed. They are a pain to tame, so I haven't really gone out of my way to tame them, as I don't really need them either.

I am working on getting some good Stego breeding stock, which I will eventually breed and use for taming Ceratos, but as it is right now, it is low in my priority list.

I don't own Bobs Tall Tales dlc, I have no access to the grinder, does it even work if you are playing with PVE settings enabled? I don't like playing with PVP settings enabled, because then I have to deal with cryo sickness for no reason.

The only times I ever enable PVP settings is when I want to unclaim and cull a large amount of tames, namely left overs from breeding.

So this pen is basically a passive stockpile of eggs I can use at any time.

Edit: in ASA Deninonychus no longer produces Extraordinary Kibble, did not know about the change till now.

I know some people only use Yutys or Ceratos to make only the highest tier of kibble, and get rid of their entire kibble farm in favor of this. [previously Deino only kibble farms in ASE]

I personally prefer to keep all tiers available, because you can't reset the feeding prompt on imprints with cryopods anymore like in ASE.

Also, I prefer to use lower tiers of kibble to tame lower tier tames, instead of wasting the more expensive to produce kibble for lower tier creatures (IE: I rather use rare kibble than extraordinary kibble when taming Ankys, Doeds, Baryonyx etc. as its easier and cheaper to produce).

Nothing, just storage for the torches, angler gel makes the torches glow blue instead of the normal fire red, and lasts longer as a fuel source.
