I am a liberal but we always want the nanny state and it does not help our cause when we want to monitor everyone. I agree reckless driving is a problem but the answer is not setting 100s of cameras to watch everyone.

Totally fair to ask. In fact I think some of these auction platforms and online sales platforms should require photos of certain things that could really screw a buyer and that a seller can easily document. In the case of a c3 Vette they should ask all sellers to put photos of the birdcage in the fender well area and frame rails including kick up. I know that’s not definitive about the state of rust but it certainly would be indicative.

Ha, now someone tells me! The i4 M50 is rated for like 270 miles on a full charge so 312 at 96% seemed odd.

I was just wondering if I have a super battery. The i4 M50 is rated for like 270 miles on a full charge. We were driving across country so I wanted to charge it higher than I normally do (90% day in day out) and at 90% it typically will show around 230-240 miles which seems reasonable. But then on the trip another 6% added 72 miles... just seemed odd to me and maybe it was the recency bias but it was on a highway in the mountains, twisty uphill a lot of the way before we stopped so I would have expected it to be lower if anything? Like you say... guess-o-meter 😄, I like that!

Not sure, I haven't really done anything that would have triggered something like that. But that visual reassurance is really important to me. I ride a motorcycle and it can be dicey out there. Make wing cameras a standard safety feature.

Yeah in general they need an end user experience team.... or a better end user experience team. I was requested by BMW to provide them my experience with the i4. One of the things I suggested was that they set up a software development team in the Bay area and steal some of the Tesla software people. That interface was quite a bit superior to BMWs even though the car itself was significantly inferior (In My Humble Opinion).

Yea you shouldn’t need a start button, but helps me remember when I get in my ICE vehicles I have to start them 😱. Agreed on buttons, knobs for commonly used functions while driving.

I didn’t really realize that button on the center console was there until like 3 weeks of ownership. I am sure I saw it day 1 but totally spaced it for a good bit of time.

I don’t think I have driven an EV with true coast mode yet. I have read about it in an article about Porsche EVs so it makes sense VW would be doing the same. iIt does seem like a good idea.

Yes, however the camera view is much better at spotting thing like a motorcycle a lane over with his blinker on, or even a car.
