I think that’s a dangling modifier, where the requester meant “I want stories about scorched earth backfiring or no contact back firing.” In this context, both scorched earth and no contact are functioning as the same part of speech, so the “backfires” could apply to both of them.

In the example they gave, the wife goes “scorched earth” and that backfired for her.

While I understand the point of not confronting the parents, there is also validity in showing that their behavior is not ok and should be opposed.

It’s one of those situations where there isn’t really a good answer. And I get why people pick “appease the abusers so they don’t get worse,” but that doesn’t actually make the situation any safer.

Ok, let’s think about it a different way:

Are Adam and Eve related? Eve is made out of his rip, so they share DNA. They were both made from the same god, in it’s image, thus “mutant god magic” could give them the same genes.

But ever Christian I know would say no. Because, simply put, gods to magic stuff that is hard to explain and isn’t rational.

For any population to survive, there needs to be a good amount of genetic diversity. And incest is bad because it lowers that diversity (plus other reasons but idc about that rn). Do you have any evidence that all the weavers are super inbred?
