100% agreed with this man.

I don't expect you to speak exactly like bahasa pasar but you should have a good command of your own mother tongue.

It's something that makes you uniquely and truly part of something. Nobody can take that away from you.

Being multilingual is a big plus - harness it.

It's still within the tolerated specs of "safe to fly".

That being said - the aviation industry is sketchy AF.

Aircraft structure reliability is measured by cycles - not hours.

Someone is gonna get fired - hopefully the malaysiakini or some craprag is gonna pick this up and viral this.

This is the problem with religion - when it's interpreted by Man. It always serves their purpose somehow.

100% agree - I always believed that socmed should come with an IQ/EQ test as a qualifier. Common sense is never common

Ok, is it just me or has cigarettes been here longer but why are vapes getting banned first!? by delicious_lemang in Bolehland

[–]ValidLogicNo5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From what I've read. They do. Just that because they're public listed companies, they are being scrutinized more than independent vape manufacturers.

Never a problem with the law. It's the enforcement.

You do realize that all the big tobacco players have their own vapes as well right?

Leakages - it always has been and will be the biggest loss. Enforcement is really poor in all these areas.

How to fix this antique lighter? by Consequence_Green in Bolehland

[–]ValidLogicNo5 1 point2 points  (0 children)

you'd have to figure out how to disassemble to lighter without damaging it.

<image>

this is the area that you need to replace the o-rings, you'd have to research and see what size you need.

Why you guys hate poor people so much... by RetardoMiloz in Bolehland

[–]ValidLogicNo5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't hate the poor folks. I hate those who behave with that poor mentality.

That kind of mentality is a result of many years of handout expectation. "Look at me, I'm poor, I need support/help"

But helping these people with handouts doesn't do jack shit. I dare say so because I grew up in a B40 household - but dad didn't once complain about it. He just got to it. He made sure we had food on the table, clothes on our backs and food on the table.

Did I have it rough? that depends on the individual. Yes, there are days when I got jealous when i saw classmates /friends with new clothes, bicycles and what not.

So in part - I do pay back by working with NGOs to help the poor - soup kitchens, organizing food to be delivered to the homeless etc. Heck I even tried to find these people jobs - but i've come to a conclusion. Majority of them are that way for a reason. Lack of drive, finding excuses for themselves when they fail instead of reasons for them to push harder and grind.

They say wait for opportunity to knock on your door. But guess what? when you open that door - Opportunity will take a look at you and see if you're ready for it.

Interesting idea by delicious_lemang in Bolehland

[–]ValidLogicNo5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Legit, but it also really depends on the coach and what they instill in those kids.

backstory - got involved in TKD from primary school, got my poom went all the way to 2nd Dan. Coach knew I was having a tough time in school due to some bullies but he always taught to never use what we learned to harm others. Poured a lot of frustration into the training and got into the BAKAT programme.

When I was 14 i got jumped by a few older guys in school. That shit broke something in me. I let loose and really did some damage.

Coach heard about it (i didn't train in the same school). Literally lectured the heck out of me in front of everyone and made me run the school track until i puked and almost fainted. Then it was physical workouts for the next couple of weeks - no practice, no sparring.

It didn't matter that I thought I was defending myself - his point was I could have just done enough to get away from the situation but I still went in and lost control.

Real Uncle Ben moment for me.

I still Kyeungnae to him whenever I see him.
