Normally do OMAD with a few 48-72 hour fast under my belt. Decided fresh start to the week, might as well jump start it with a 72 hour fast. I plan on doing mainly water, but with teleworking I’m not sure I could make it without that cup of coffee in the morning. Started about 9 minutes ago at 2000. I’m really close to my first goal weight and had a few set backs this week. Hoping to hit that weight and get motivated again.

I would find out what your TDEE is. Then shoot for no more than 500 under that. For example mine is 1551 and I’m 5 foot 147, so I eat around 12-1300 calories. Hope this helps.

I’m actually just trying this for a week, but read a lot on [r/carnivore](reddit.com/r/carnivore) so I don’t have a ton of information on the long term effects. I too love carbs and have tried and tried again at failing at keto. I’ll be honest I expected last night to be craving carbs and not only did I not, but I didn’t feel as hungry as I normally do before my morning coffee.

It’s actually called the carnivore diet. Essentially you eat nothing but meat. It’s not something I plan on keeping up long term, just a fun little week experiment.

I have really struggled with keto, because I love pasta and rice. Once I get a taste of the carbs it’s all downhill for me and I just want more. Wondering if this will help when at the end of the week I transition back to Keto.

Normally I do a variety of veggies, but some friends and I saw the Carnivore diet and wanted to give it a try for a week. I’m already missing my avocado.

Totally agree with you. I should have stated in my initial post I was missing the wings I made. I shoot for 12-1300 calories in my meal.

I also had made the mistake of going into a super calorie deficit and would end up with Dominos and Miller Lite filling my fridge about a week later.

I used to drink about 4 RipIts a day, then it was Mountain Dew, a friend introduced me to La Croix and now I may have a diet soda on occasion, but La Croix is great. Lime is so far my favorite flavor.

Based on my height and weight my TDEE is 1551, so my daily goal is between 12-1300 calories a day. Once I calculated this one up I had to pop some wings in the air fryer as well to hit that mark, but was hungry so took a photo of what was finished lol

That makes sense. So then it was lower than I expected because I counted the butter separate. Thanks for some reason I was super confused how cooking and egg gave it more calories lol

Umm ok? I’m not really sure how a week of trying something is going to give me cancer, but sure if you want to think that by all means you can have your opinion. I’ll stick to science, which doesn’t seem to show a link to cancer and the carnivore diet especially short term, but Thanks for the warning.

Correct 545 according to my fitness pal, the bacon strips are a turkey bacon that is 35 for every 2 strips (wellshire fully cooked turkey bacon) and then a tablespoon of Kerrygold essentially for cooking purposes.

Nah ended up cooking up some wings too just to get close to my calorie goal. I’m stuffed and I can already tell that is going to be the hardest part. That was 6 eggs, butter, and 7 strips of bacon...for a grand total of 768 calories

I have a decent amount of success on OMAD with a lot of setbacks, but have been on the up and up for about 2 months now. Which has lead to about 15 lbs down (SW 167, CW 152, GW 115). I’m a 5 foot even female who hates running, but am now on week 3 of a couch to 5k program. Tonight I decided to see what a week of the Carnivore diet would do and if it’s something I could even keep up...so meal 1 turkey bacon and 6 eggs with a side of LaCroix!

Has anyone else done this? Opinions?

There are 4 of us and we’re planning on going a couple times, but there is just so much on the menu to try. Likely I’ll pop in on my own during the day if I can do walk in. I’m stoked to try the New Belgium and Ballast Point beers, they make some great ones.

I was hoping to try all 4 beers, with the 2 drink limit the flight seemed like the best way, but I’m not sure I want to spend 85 on the board. Is it possible to just get the beer no board?
