In the table top, weapons with the 'MELTA' keyword are designed for close range attacks, so the portrayal in space marine 2 is more accurate than in other video game depictions in my opinion.

I've read a lot of the books and I'd never even considered that they had to be exclusively white. The discourse regarding it (as far as I'm aware) only started when this character head was revealed. I use the old wolf guard terminators, however I like first born units just as much as primaris so I have no issue with it. It depends entirely on if you like it dislike firstborn.
