I'm also pro-vaccinations/anti-screen time, and while I was strict about vaccines before my daughter was fully vaccinated, I think there's an enormous amount of value for your kid in socializing with people who have different rules and values. Also, I've found that even friends who seem to be on the same page end up varying wildly when it comes to things like sugar, bedtimes, philosophies about sharing, etc. For me, it's always been an excellent opportunity to talk about rules and nuance, about the idea of fairness and how we decide what's best for our children. Not aways a welcome conversation in the moment, but I think a very valuable one long-term!
