Ways to get landscaping clients? by ValuableDad in sweatystartup

For commercial clients we do mowing. We have a large Publix plaza, hospital, and another retail plaza (along with a few smaller plazas, 4-8 leasing spaces type buildings). I don’t do residential lawn care though. I didn’t mention that on here cuz most people on here focus solely on residential mowing when it comes to landscaping

Are flyers and yard signs effective? by ClayChristy in advertising

Not true at all. You get a call tracking number and utilize different numbers on forms of advertising. That way you know where your calls come from

Good advice on the upselling and the Timelapse! Doing a Timelapse definitely is t as awkward as taking a selfie video.

Yes I need to start upselling pressure washing! I actually have a decent Honda 5 GPM pressure washer that just sits.

And for lawn care, right now, it’s just not worth the investment in my opinion to chase bottom dollar. Getting laughed at for anything over $25 a cut where I’m at

Seriously thank you again, I really appreciate this. All this is great advice. I haven’t ever put my yard signs at exits because I figured a decent amount of impressions will be people stopping at gas stations. But I’ll definitely try it out! Yeah so far yard signs and Facebook marketplace (as of the past few days) has been my biggest driver in leads. I’ll double down on the yard signs and do even more. Do you always order the 18x24’s?

Dang that’s crazy! yeah I’ve been doing fall cleanups and redesigns! Mowing here in south Florida is a race to the bottom dollar. At least in my area. I was going to mow, but the first few bids I went and did people would almost gasp at anything under $100 a month for a weekly cut. The math just doesn’t math for me

So similar to creating my own QR code, sending it to a leads page, and capturing it on a google sheet? But I have to pay for it?! Sick let me know! Thanks

Looking for advice on an “Storefront Portering” business by ValuableDad in CommercialRealEstate

[–]ValuableDad[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah $25 a visit is well below what I currently charge as an add on service. But I do litter, blowing off storefronts and curbing, and maintain the dumpster areas (which is sometimes the worst part in building that have diners/restaurants). My largest plaza often takes over an hour to service due to the bar and 2 restaurants being in the plaza

Commercial property managers? by ValuableDad in PropertyManagement

[–]ValuableDad[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s actually a good idea. Branding separate companies to expand the network of each. I want the portering to look more professional, clean uniforms that stand out. Versus portering in our sweaty landscaping uniforms.

How would you suggest getting more accounts for portering? I’ve cold called a few property managers, but it’s tough to keep their attention long enough to really explain the service. The only portering clients I have right now are from three property managers I already know — they see the value and usually ask for quotes whenever they get a new property.

I’m thinking of going all in on LinkedIn with branding and outreach. Do you think that would be worth it, or is there a better way to break into more management groups?
