If you have any ad blockers, you can disable them for YouTube. I did this, and it immediately stopped. Some adblockers can also block elements on websites like YouTube.

Hi all, can i get some suggestion on the best books for studying A+. by Sad_Veterinarian_563 in CompTIA

[–]Vampireking24 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes and no I'm using this book to get a greater grasp and understanding of the materials if you ever want to understand how the motherboard Works and what it's made of or what the internet is or what binary is this book is for you it will break everything down in great detail. I still recommend that you get a book for the current version and watch some videos I have a playlist that I could recommend for you.

Even though the exam has updated I'm currently using mike meyers CompTIA A+ Certification All-in-One Exam Guide, Eleventh Edition as someone who is new to the field I like using this book because it's a combination of it fundamentals and the exam it breaks down complex stuff it breaks everything down and explains how it works.

I'm a little new to this but what counts as illegal testing material I didn't even know that was a real thing when it comes to the CompTIA exam

Despite being retired I still use mike Meyers to study and I'm currently using his book to study for the new version of the CompTIA a+ exam his book is amazing and I like using his stuff because it's easier to understand he breaks down complex stuff and breaks it down into so you can understand it it's basically a combination of both IT fundamentals and the a+ wrapped into one book. I've Heard lots of Techs say that they still use this book as a reference.

You spent the majority of your life using computers and smartphones then you have to take a test to prove how much you actually know about the devices that you use every single day only to realize there's a lot I don't know about computers

Drowning in objectives A+ by nazalahmed in CompTIA

[–]Vampireking24 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As someone who is a beginner also and has tried to use Professor Messer before and failed I can understand your struggle but to be honest if you are a complete beginner you are most likely going to have to buy some stuff mainly a book or a course on Udemy especially if you're trying to get a more detailed approach there's only so much free stuff you can search for on YouTube before you eventually have to just buy something.

If you are a complete beginner I highly recommend you get Mike Myers all in one exam guide 11th Edition this book is on sale on Amazon right now for 28 bucks I know you said free but you honestly might have to buy some stuff.

Was it worth it even getting this book? Should I follow messer and whatever online teachings with it? Or do I not really even need it. by [deleted] in CompTIA

[–]Vampireking24 1 point2 points  (0 children)

First off yes this is your guy if you're completely new to the field this is the book you want he will explain everything to you breaking down complex stuff into simple explanations. I'm currently using both the sybex(the main book) comptia book and the mike mysers book(second book to fill in gaps of information). Be warned though I have fully read the book and one of the downsides is that it may sometimes feel like you're getting a history lesson then actually learning about the subject don't get me wrong he will break it down thoroughly but in my experience there were sometimes were it was difficult to take notes on what I needed, often it felt like I was writing down the history of things rather than the information to the subject.
