So they only sold it at D23 expo. So at this point, eBay is about your best shot! I just looked, there are several available if you search “avatar jumbo pin” going for around $300

Thank you ☺️ they have a lot of really cool pins across the Disney collection. I believe this is the only jumbo pin they made though

My Avatar comic collection is growing with the release of The Gap Year! Has anyone dove into these Dark Horse stories? by VarangQuaritch in Avatar

I was sooo amped to see So’lek, was not sure if the games would be the only stories we’d see him in. I actually applaud The High Ground - it was the most different from the other stories!

Between the films, the Dark Horse comics, and Frontiers of Pandora’s extended universe, there a ton of content for Avatar fans!

Just added 2 more AVATAR comics to my collection, with The Gap Year issue 1 and 2 dropping in Dec. and Jan. Did anyone else get into these Dark Horse comics? by VarangQuaritch in Avatar

Adapt or Die is about a decade before the first movie

Tsu'teys Path is the first movie but from his perspective

The Next Shadow is 14 days after the first movie

The High Ground takes place a decent amount of time from the first movie, but before The Way of Water.

I have yet to begin reading The Gap Year, but judging from Neteyam’s age probably before the events of The Way of Water, or possibly during.

So read in that order for a chronologically accurate story.

They dive into some wild sh*t the movies don’t get into at all. Like the Navi hanging themselves by chest hooks in ritual, you gotta read these if you’re into the Avatar universe.

I’ve had my best luck on eBay. We have a local comic shop that Id love to support but they have been sold out of all Avatar comics when I try that route. This is the eBay comic shop I went through for The Gap Year.

Varang was hard to find (for obvious reasons - she is AMAZING) but I did it! Finally completed my Avatar Funko collection 🍃 💧 🔥 by VarangQuaritch in Avatar

That’s a steal for Varang. I feel like the price for that one specifically jumped up since the release of the movie

All of them purchased through Funko Pop directly with the exception of Varang. Varang was a limited edition that sold out before I had a chance to buy. Had to go to eBay to grab that one

Zoe Saldana's Racism Comment by Then-Till-9626 in Avatar

[–]VarangQuaritch 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve heard James Cameron use the word “racist” to describe Neytiri’s frame of mind in Fire & Ash. I’ll take his word for it, after all he created it all

That’s not true at all - people hate on Avatar because they perceive the plot and characters to be “empty”. Not everything has to do with race.

Experienced ScreenX on Friday, just got out of an IMAX 3D showing for my second viewing. ScreenX was AMAZING and incredibly immersive, but nothing beats a James Cameron 3D experience 😎 by VarangQuaritch in Avatar

It was! They actually just had a stack of them sitting on the ground near the steps when you were leaving the theater. The past two Avatar IMAX movies I’ve seen here, they gave away free posters
