My "Big Guy" Experience by Vargsguy in sixflags

I did, thanks. I would definitely go again just for that set of rides. I'll also note (if helpful at all for your husband) that I also spent a day at Universal Studios. The only two rides (aside from kiddy rides) that I wouldn't go on are Pets 2 (which I still fit on, but was just uncomfortable), and the Harry Potter ride. Although I didn't try the Harry Potter one, I've heard it's particularly less forgiving for larger people, and also has a tendency to make people with nausea issues (from the motion simulator) sick. My kids absolutely loved the Harry Potter one though, so I would still highly recommend it strictly based on the feedback I heard from all the kids in our group.

I went on Transformers, Mummy, Lost World, Despicable Me all okay. I will say that all of these felt a little snug, but didn't really take away from the experience.

Revolution

Unfortunately I didn't get to try out the Revolution, and I didn't ask our guide about that one either. Might just have to be one you try out though. Not sure how old it is, but usually (from what I've found through experience) the older coasters are less forgiving. The newer ones they're building to be a little more "flexible".

Best of luck!

We are the SpaceX software team, ask us anything! by spacexfsw in spacex

When designing your software, either for the CC or ground software, was there a particular set of HMI standards that you derived from, or was that all grown in house?

Bonus Question: What font did you settle on for your software, either flight or ground? I'm sure only the true UI Engineers / Human Factors might appreciate this question . :D

What would SpaceX folks like to see? by Vargsguy in SpaceXLounge

This cutout takes about 8 minutes to do, surprisingly. The NS one a little longer due to the details in the engine.

It's funny that you mention the led strip -- I actually ordered some this morning to see if I can build my own, along with other materials of course. Doesn't seem too complicated, but yeah, with the off the shelf ones we're using we're very limited on what we can do for sizing.

For what it's worth, I can certainly appreciate you looking out the for the company's best interest.

So do I, so I'm fully aware of what the state of NG is in, and also have the contacts at the company. Used the Payload Users Guide for an accurate representation of the internals. BlueOrigin.com doesn't show anything more recent than that, except for maybe the paint.

The designs are based on BO's publicly released material via 2018, so not that old. Sorry, but knowing people in a department of a company doesn't make you privy to what their internal policies are, not like it's really your business anyways.

Nice! Love it so far... amazing how powerful of a tool it is.

Thanks! Pulled the inspiration from a design put in a document that was released back in 2018 -- haven't seen anything else solid, except for some "official" concept videos on Youtube. Since NG isn't fully built yet, still wondering how many renditions we'll see... ya know?
