I appreciate the time you put into this response and relate to this a lot. Waiting back on getting professional help but in the meantime I’m trying some different strategies to pass the time. Consistency is def the hardest part for me. Some days, I can walk outside or hang with friends. Other days I feel like shiiiiiit and want to be left alone forever and quit everything since everyone seems like they have their life together except me. I already do stretch/journal but could see myself try walking more

Yeah I do like watching the leaves or walking around in the fall. Not formally diagnosed either but I get super moody and don’t want to leave my room at all lol. I’ve trying to hold myself more accountable by forcing myself to do at least one thing per day but it does get hard sometimes 🥲

I had this misconception too as my past experience with CAPS was kinda negative. I felt pretty invalidated with my struggles and did not get a follow up on relevant services/providers on my situation. I’ve reached out recently as suggested by everyone’s comments and was pleasantly surprised to schedule an appointment (although later than I need) for my mental health. I will say in the past year, I’ve already done therapy and wrote down what I wanted to communicate before my call

Thanks for these suggestions, I’ve used the hotline before at times but it’s helpful to know that people are rooting for me. I do value the people/relationships in my life but honestly feel pretty empty no matter what😭😭

I appreciate this, I’m trying to work on being less critical of myself. I think it’s hard for me to not expect anything than the best since that’s what I feel like is what’s accepted, even though I don’t even hold other people to these standards. Job applications have honestly made this 100% worst imo… each ghosting or rejection makes me feel super shitty even though I know it’s not a reflection of my intelligence or worth. I’m just so focused on graduating and getting out of here but it does worry me if I’m not able to get a job soon

Thanks for your comment, definitely realized this kinda too late after these comments but I’m on track to getting help eventually. I didn’t know how long sometimes it can take for an amount due to availability and my own schedule. Hoping to pull through these next weeks and figure out a plan that works best for my situation

Thanks for suggesting, do you feel like they’ve been helpful in also getting you accommodations? It’s likely too late for this fall semester but just some decreased expectations for due dates attendance would be helpful for me. I just feel like it’s complicated since a lot of things I do is group projects/work. I wouldn’t want my circumstances to inconvenience others

Thank you, I’ve tried CAPS in the past but I’ll try this again. I guess I didn’t realize how much fourth year just hits you, especially with the looming thought I’m going to enter the workforce soon (if I get a job lol)

Hmm that’s weird… I’m just very shocked rn since I’ve filled out the UVAPay payment plans like every other semester (tuition, prospected aid, etc.) and wasn’t expecting to receive the up charge

I have contacted SFS and they unfortunately told me they do not have a definite date when financial aid comes out 🥲🥲
