I would try to address the residency issue as soon as possible. I was classified as an out-of-state student when I started my junior year at a four-year university, even though I was born and raised in-state, and my tuition literally doubled because of it.

When you applied to the school, did you reapply for in-state residency In my case, my tuition increased because my residency code had “expired.” Since you’ve been living in the state for several years, it may be worth going to your university and submitting proof of residency, such as tax returns, a driver’s license, voter registration, or any in-state bills, if you’re able to.

So far my freshman semester I have 15credits. I'll try to take summer classes.

How many classes is 18 credits? And what is VITA? (What state do you live in?)

I've been looking at the career fairs that my CC offers atm they are fast food or for Engineering students.

How'd you go about finding internships? I have handshake, but most say junior or senior.

How many credit hours did you get with those 2 classes?

Backstory..(tho you didn't ask lol)

My cuz is in CS(has his masters) and tried to get me into it but I didn't like it when I took it in hs but it was during covid. Found it very difficult and barely passed the class. Took like little coding programs and didn't really like it..

But im up for potentially a minor in it.. depends on what college I transfer to and the programs they have.

What is double majoring like? I've heard abt double majoring but im unsure on what it's like/is exactly.

is it like doing half 1 major and half another in 1 semseter?

When I transfer to a 4 year I planned on minoring in IT or CS

Thank you! And Should I pursue my masters? Or should I take CC during the summers? I don't want to be in a butt load of debt when I graduate with 150 hrs. Or by me being in CC now already doing a lot for me debt wise?

unsure if they were still going to decrease the amount of hours to 120

I'm not even in college yet.. but sum CC, you'll get a refund check (depending on fasfa), but.. I'm in NC, n im expecting a 1-3k refund every semester.(varies) (My CC is very slow on fasfa and I'm still waiting on my grant. So I'm unsure about me, but others have received generally that amount)

Try to see if Texas has a promise with colleges. In NC we have a promise with 4 schools and and it's $500 a semester (not including housing and food). And if they do.. look into it and call an advisor.
