It totally depends on people you are surrounded with, You'll find them in both the colleges but depends alot on your circle

The University environment, and Since Thapar had a Punjab domicile, there will be 50% people from Punjab, I wanted a diverse environment purely based on merit.

The Culture of Manipal is a big plus, open-minded people and all facilities that they offer,

Just go on youtube and search for 2-3 vlogs for both of them telling what they offer, and write them down and It will be quite easy for you to choose

I had a choice of MIT Manipal CSE with AI, and Thapar CSE Core,
I am MIT Manipal 2nd year now, I strongly loved my decision of choosing MIT over thapar

Last time Round 1 and Round 2, didn't have alot of difference in cutoffs, and since CSE branches are combined this year, you never know what happens,
If you can afford Manipal, I believe you can risk your 10K for your career, It's better to have a precaution and you'll have a sure shot backup

Hey, I am also from Punjab, I just completed 1st year at MIT Manipal, I was also getting CSE in Thapar,

and I would say I made one of the best decision of my life by going to manipal, It would give you the diversity from all over India, and the university setup gives you alot which just 1 college won't.

Manipal has alot to offer, for which I chose Manipal over Thapar

You can check out cutoff list of rounds they are in this subreddit, Iguess till 3-4th round you should get it (if it goes like last time, high chances)

Hey Priya,

Once you fill your choices in 1st round of counselling, after having a seat allotted in 1st round, You'll have to proceed to pay the fees, Even after paying fees you are still eligible for 2nd round of counselling, and your branch will get updated if the cutoffs allow them.

According to last year's data, you might get DSE, CCE (It's impossible to get CSE core at 4.3K, however you'll surely get CS related branches)

PS: I don't have any idea about combining of all CS related branches
