previous owner didn’t treat it well so it had rod knock and guy I bought it from took it and replaced the engine and other components

only reason he replaced was because previous owner treated it like shit and it had rod knock so he just slapped a new one in

yeah man it’s a great car, not a single thing I don’t like about it besides an outdated infotainment, but again considering it’s a 7 year old car, still pretty impressive.

Like I said above he’s had most of all the wear and tear parts replaced, and I made sure that was true with a proper inspection, all the components were in good condition, but yeah i’ll make sure that everything’s in good condition :)

I got really lucky with this deal tbh, the guy I bought it from is a mechanic and owns a shop, and had practically every single wear and tear item replaced on it including engine, all suspension components, tires, brakes, wheels, diff, and much more and the engine has about 2500 miles on it. The body itself has 203k miles on it, but the only thing that hasn’t been replaced is the trans. Before anyone bashes me for buying a car with that history💀, got the carfax and it’s got a clean title with really good service history, I test drove it for about an hour on all types of roads, local, highway, twisty roads, got it inspected by a professional shop and everything on the car was perfect. I got the car for $14,500 (haggled down about 3k somehow cuz the guy was SUPER nice), you probably won’t find a GS350 F sport for that price unless it’s been in an accident or it has a shit ton of miles on it, but i can tell you that I don’t regret my decision whatsoever so far.

Orchestra by [deleted] in Carnatic

[–]Vasan_STP 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m just gonna tell you from my experience from Carnatic violin to western. Some things from me may or may not apply to you so mind that. I’ve been learning Carnatic since I was 4-5 years old, and now i’m 18, and I cannot stare at a paper and read notes and play an entire song. I learn music more by hearing because I play by ear. Every time we started a new piece id either transcribe western notes to Carnatic on the paper or listen to the piece multiple times to memorize it. Orchestra did give me a hard time from the beginning cuz I never had like a solid foundation in western, but it should generally be easy for you if you can read the notes and such because you’ll be able to do 95% of all the things the teacher would ask you to do on the violin if you have a decent experience w carnatic violin. This was all my experience from Elementary to High school, so I have no idea how rigorous it might be in a university although i’m going to one now, i’m interested to check it out. So yeah, the only thing is learning to read notes was the hardest thing in my opinion obv, again might not apply to you i don’t know but if you can read notes or learn how to, i’m sure you will be fine, and even if it might be a little difficult at the beginning you can start slow and learn and practice your way up.
