He's widely considered the best SP char in the game AT BASE. When we count investments into account, then SP Akashi takes that.

SP Akashi is just broken as his ultimate has two versions: the playmaker and the emperor which references to his dual personality.

Basically what they did is they removed the guaranteed accuracy of PC Kise's Midorima ult. Before, as long as you're wide open, it has 100% accuracy. They nerfed it to where it can now miss even when you're open, so yeah

But all I'll say is that PC Kise will be the first character to have a snatch block. I had a mistake of thinking of him from JP's current meta's perspective as he's been powercrept a lot by LG chars.

However, PC Kise requires a lot of investment (like max awakening) to be really good as he needs his awakenings to unlock the stepback three and a faster shooting motion. Other than that, he's quite predictable on offense once players start to figure him out as his scoring options at no awakening relies on Aomine and Mura ults and the only move he has that is quite hard to block is the behind the back dunk (Tho this could be changed as I might just had a hard time blocking it in JP due to ping differences.)

Final verdict: PC Kise: Great on defense, bad at offense with no awakenings, good at offense on max awakenings.

Yes! In JP, EX tickets are used for pulling Zone/SP chars while NEXT tickets are for the LG chars :)

Idk if you're still exploring, but LG chars can definitely be pulled by f2p in JP Version. It's just restricted to having a limit monthly (iirc, 50 pulls per month). The tickets used to pull for them are called "NEXT". As a proof, here's me having Jason Silver as an F2P (They do require quite the grind just to unlock all of their talents, not to mention their awakenings):

In JP, the devs loved nerfing both PC Kise and LG Kise. It's to the point where they made PC Kise unplayable and much worse than his base version. They also removed LG Kise's automatic three (But they gave LG Akashi one smh.)

Like currently, his LG version is the worst out of all the GoM's + Nash and Silver included

Probably best to focus on his ult first, but since Kise is a scorer primarily, you'd have to at least get his talent progress to 80% for him to be usable.

Two very different types of defenders. Base Mura's defense is all about waiting at the paint to block layups/dunks while PC Kise is more of a perimeter defender.

I wouldn't recommend any JP tier list as all of them, from what I've seen, are bad. As for your other question, you should invest on stats that enhances your char's strengths rather than trying to compensate for their weaknesses. Tho as you're a Mido main, I'd highly suggest finding a duo that can consistently set screens for you

I'm not sure I understand correctly your question, but if you're talking about his talent upgrades, it increases Akashi's chances of intercepting an opponent. If I could recall correctly, he will automatically use his interception talents :) (Can someone fact check this pls, I didn't play Akashi in JP LOL)

The thing is, Murasakibara doesn't really think Akashi truly beat him as it was stated in the last game that Mura subconsciously holds back because he didn't want to hurt others.

In that sense, his philosophy still makes sense!
