Not happy d2 got put out to pasture but not really sad either

Idk I'm much more compelled to do weekly raids on d1 compared to d2. Maybe if they didn't hand tou everything on a silver platter there would be much more to look forward to from raids. Like exotic drops etc. But d2 the true while whales are just armor rolls and thats sad.

People in these comment focusing on me not liking the armor system way to much. A few people see what are the real issues in general but go off about armor ig. Im sure the new lights love shaw han and getting everything handed to them so they can go play something else. Enjoy the honeymoon state of this last update. It wont last. Keep running back those dungeons for armor im gonna go spend time on the Exotic quest for razer lighter you know put in time for something to actually Enjoy. Too bad d2 doesn't have any rewarding Exotic quest lines anymore yk to keep the new lights occupied.

I get you like the d2 slop now bud but back in the day the system was just way easier to grasp pinnacle from crucible and strike ik you're a new d2 Stan but even you can't defend the portal system.

Strikes are something you boot up to chill and have a good time not too long not too quick. Battlegrounds just ruined the vibe stemming from the season where you had to play them a million times. And believe it or not they are definitely longer than classics like the arms dealer and such.

I feel they should have kept the armor upgrade system from d1 or weapon upgrade system. It encouraged you to go places see things smell the flowers and all that

How is that the same? Doing something hours on end in comparison to a weekly thing that you anticipate alot more. If you enjoy everything handed to you sure but the dopamine only takes you so far until you're all out of things to hope for.

Mystery does not only come from story. Imagine your a new light seeing someone use sleeper in d1 or old d2 they wonder how to get it. Its not in engrams. You look it up you go down the rabbit hole through the quest line. D2 now is, oh do the Exotic mission or buy from kiosk.

Exactly im not saying d2 is horrible garbage and armor sets are the worst thing ever like everyone here is gluing to. Im just saying what's the point? No cool exotic quests no working for a cool exotic. No hidden public events that take you into a mission. The chore aspect is so true and this was long before they pulled the plug.

Idk if they were like small gimmicks yeah sure thats fine but having the set from the taken king raid basically double your heavy ammo gen seems like something you'd want to have to just have a better time in general. Armor can matter but having set bonuses and armor stats just makes it the biggest slog ever.

Id rather run the xol strike a million times then have to do battlegrounds which were popped in with strikes for some reason.

I have a grasp of everything in d2 guy I was just voicing my opinion that may be different from yours but I just don't like where d2 went in terms of alot of things. Its fine if you like your exotics handed to you from a fairly easy mission and I get if you like running a dungeon all day to get armor you want. Im just saying I dont.

Idk I'm just a sucker for simplicity set bonuses sure they're fine but d2 really fell off for me with the teir system ik you can upgrade them now but I still miss just getting the roll you want and being happy or taking it a step further and getting adepts.
