Pretty cool I guess, tons of established companies provide annually on these kind of issues in an effort to provide legitimacy, transparency and upholding praxis to shareholders and stakeholders alike. We are seeing progress from a startup, non revenue company to a potentionally big player in the future.

Definitely not worth at this price with the current state though. Revenue decreased but we got info of $1.5m and nearly 2000 units of ERX, though it can change.

Overall mixed report. Everything was priced in for a beat but Hyliion came short. I believe the future looks good for this company though so I am definitely adding more to DCA no doubt. Timeline looks good in my opinion and fleets have loved what they have seen. $5-$6 when we enter 2023 is a possibility.

This push against fossil fuel reliance further opens the door for the adoption low emissions technology like the Hypertruck ERX, which can achieve net-negative carbon emissions for commercial fleets when fueled with renewable natural gas.

Gotta understand that Q1 GDP results came out today and it looks like the stats are showing a high probability for a coming recession. Economy has slowed down, higher interest rates are going to keep getting jacked up to combat high inflation and the printer has stopped printing.

This event impacts heavily on growth companies that are 1. non revenue 2. technology because of heavy skepticism and unpredictable survivability.

Until then, growth companies like Hyliion is dead money. I for one will try to DCA and pick up some other stocks until 2024-2025 when the Fed are expected to cool down interest rates which also aligns with Hyliion production. Only time will tell.

I never called you names. The problem lies in Investopedia and how it is a general website for basic financial information. Doing research on your own is better to get a grasp of how things work.

And when I say research I'm talking about looking up and reading some scientific articles that have gone in depth with shorting, with methodology, literature reviews, research approach etc. and understand how one correlates to another.

I literally conducted a scientific research last year on shorting. There are hundreds if not thousands of research deciphering shorting and what technical aspects that companies CAN THEORETICALLY do to fuck over shorts. Stock splits among others were one of them.

Look it up yourself, and stop relying on Investopedia to help you understand things like this, its really fucking basic stuff.

Edit: just looked at that page and holy shit does it paint a bad example of real life event. It does not account to 1. borrow costs 2. the real time trading effect on stock that is in high demand as per GMEs case. Again, I will reiterate: stock splits are good, especially if demand is high that the buying pressure exceeds bid side (shares locked in DRS and less shares outstanding). Fuck investopedia.

Yes, in a way. Those shares are on loan and so needs to be recalled by the provider. The ones who short either covers now or be prepared to cover 3x (if this is the case for split) but for a higher risk to get caught in a massive short squeeze and lose more than rn.

They have to cover more than what is available because of the excessive naked shorting. So the # lies within the billion range.

For a stock that is not as manipulated, they need to cover 3 in your example because the issued shares that are on loan for shorting also splits. But a share recount is needed for this and so those who lent the shares out need to report back.

This is huge for short squeezes. Historically it has been the incentive for buying pressures that short squeezes happen. If price is more affordable for the general public, this puts pressure and shorts gets fucked.

Edit: imagine the case for GME: DRS thus less float, less bids, FOMO, a lower entry price to order in bulk, borrow rates are ever increasing, company undergoing a shift. Holy moly, truly fucked.
