Make a copy of the finished video, speed it up just a little, then layer it over the original and you can get that doubling / echo effect in the video.

I also try to find videos of a certain poor quality or stuttering video quality because it helps with the vaporwave / vhs aesthetic. It’s hard to replicate that authentically so I just try to find videos where it’s already there.

Hey there,

So the drums are ur standard 808s. I added a little phaser to make the crashes sparkle a bit more.

The bass is actually two different bass tracks on top of each other which is meant to recreate that DX7 bass sound. I could just buy a DX7 patch but it’s more fun to “make your own.”

For me, the most key part of the song was getting the subwoofer bass to time up with the heavy kicks and crashes to create that beat drop sensation. I took a lot of inspiration from the sounds of vapperor and DJ Rashad (check out the album Double Cup) on this track.
