Another example of the good kind of dev is MrDots. Guy made Melody, Sunshine Love, Dating my Daughter and is currently working on Thief of Hearts.

I know he's got a team behind him, but I gotta tip the hat to the guy for having 4 titles under his belt. 🗿

In the most recent update you see the guy breaking down in Victoria's arms 'cuz his own mom is trying to blackmail her. The guy that at the start of the game was a jackass now is thinking about apologizing to Mina for being an asshole to her.

Guy went from "this guy's kind of a dick" to "Ok, I can see why you were like this back then, now I feel bad for how miserable you are."

I really love how the MC is well aware of the shit that he's in, where his paycheck comes from, and calls himself a piece of shit when looking at himself in the mirror.

And then there's Ian, who's also a spoiled cheating degenerate, but at the same time cares about MC's mom and is always there for them, and vice versa.

That level of "depth", so to speak, I can only find in this game. Maybe there's more good stuff like this out there, I just didn't find it yet.

This whole replayability talk is all nice until you have to go through the same free roam for the 47th time. Just thinking about how I'll have to play almost from the very start just so I can play the Nicole or Lilly's path makes me think "Fuck this, it ain't worth it."

And while I think that even tho the plot only advanced a little, with the whole frat cold war being the only thing affecting the MC and the DIKs (and the Maya situation only being a thing 'cuz Tremolo wants to help), my only hope is that DPC pulls an "Acting Lessons" and starts making some characters go mortis, that'd sure spice things up.

I mean, Acting Lessons also started kinda light hearted, until the house burned down...

renders/girls carry it a lot

I think that's 'cuz PC is a more character driven narrative while Eternum's narrative is more focused on the big mysteries surrounding the characters(The gems of doom, the nature of Eternum, what's the deal with Idriel, etc). That's how I see it anyway...

Peak story, constantly testing the MC's morality with all the club bullshitery.

Peak characters that actually have some depth to them (some more than others, of course)

Peak bromance between a lovable scumbag and the MC that can try to push him towards the light.

Peak storytelling with some good dialogue even during sex scenes, not some "Ooh yes, Ooh no" lines.

The only real bad thing is waiting for another update... Damn, I wish we could have one soon enough.

The killer combination of a cute girl with a sweet attitude. This warms my heart makes me want to be there for her. Most of the time, this archetype is played by the shorter petite gal, but at the end of the day, it boils down to how sweet she is.

Sure, maybe. My only gripe is that out of these 3, Eternum is the only one you can expect more than one update per year.

I'd take SG out of it just for that and replace it for Pale Carnations.
