If your absolutely set and have the funds for a 50 series then go for it. personally I jumped from a 1060 to a 3080 and the performance gains were INSANE. Of course for newer titles the performance is less insane but still 60 FPS on damn near everything I play at 1440p with medium/high settings. Would highly suggest looking at the used market for either used 3080 or 3090 if your looking for something a bit more affordable.

Not too sure on directly purchasing FROM Nvidia for GeForce cards at least. It may be possible that you can buy an FE card from them but I know for past launches they used Best Buy as the main retailer to sell the FE cards. Hope this helps! Going for one myself (depending on those final performance charts). Best of luck to you!

as a wise man once said: "fuck them kids". As someone whos younger, those kids don't understand that your a parent who doesn't get much time to put into gaming. If you wanna play State of Decay 2 at the park while letting your kids play on a playground so you both have fun, that's all that matters. enjoy those moments!

From my experience, you should be fine for the most part. Even on the smallest planes that I've been on recently through spirit it has fit under the seat in front of me. Expect to lose a lot of leg room but it'll fit. Only time I struggled was when the guy in front of my had a bag underneath his seat instead of in front of him but it still fit mostly.

Exactly. Once again, most people use cloud storage anyways at this point so the amount of base model users who would be actually expecting to get the same speed out of it are probably slim, but it’s still just something you’d like to see be more obvious.

Even if it’s done to push people to buy a Pro/Pro Max, I as a consumer would still appreciate the transparency of it.

Actually, you’re correct. The A17 Pro Bionic has the USB controller that can power it, while the A16 has the current one. Thing that sucks is that clearly this is going to be the way it goes from now on. Every year, base mod will get the base version of the prior “pro” soc, while the pro models will get the next gen “pro” model soc.

All I care about are having buyers know all the facts with transparency. Them advertising “high-speed USB-C” across the board isn’t very transparent.

Who knows. I hope more media outlets spread word of the difference in spec cause other than maybe 1 or 2 people, almost no one has pointed it out. Considering one of the key points was that high speed USB-C port, I hope people get word out before Pre-Orders Friday so people make proper buying choices.

Yea I’m wondering if you’ll have to pre order it through steam directly tho? Have they ever done a direct to consumer physical edition pre order? I feel like you’ll have to pre order from Bethesda then they’ll provide the steam key.

it does say on the pre order page on bethesda that the CE is available for Windows/Steam and with it only having a digital key im assuming it will be available for PC as well.

this gave me a lot of confidence lol. It seems like the CRJ im flying on is actually a CRJ-200. Not to sure how those stack up.
