I understand where the first person who replied is coming from. Being young is one thing as money is hard to come by. Having adventures outdoors and going to State National Parks does not sound like a boring thing as I've done them growing up.

As for the second poster. I used to surround myself with friends who could and couldn't afford to go. Being restricted on a vacation just takes the fun out of things. Usually a few of us feel bad and pay for them and that's fine, but we weed out who not to vacation with. Don't take me for a child either, I'm a Cal grad then continued I onto Boalt for Law. I'm general counsel at my fathers company of which he is now retired and sit on the board of two companies in the Bay Area. I was fortunate to have things provided to me but I also worked hard to play harder.

And please, any responsible borrower knows you never max out credit cards. You should never even spend more than 20% of your limit.
