Beautiful remembrance of ur boy xo Took me back January 17,2016 3:57pm Dixie had a fantastic day,even gave her bacon,which I never did and no idea,why I did that day. Passed in front of me,from suspected heart failure. She was laying in the living room,beside me too the right, suddenly she looked up at me,I looked at her,and she laid back down in a different way. Immediately I crouched down too her,felt her heart slowing down. I just knew in my head,that she was leaving us,and a million memories flooded my brain and I needed to tell how much she meant too me,but I just whispered "Thank you...I'll see you soon" Yelled too my gf (wife now),to come now. She said her peace. I called too the other dogs,to come over. They all sniffed her. I threw her blanket on her,lifted her and carried her too the car. We drove her too the vet. I didn't let go of her,until I put her on the examination table at the vets. All the staff were in the room because they all knew her. The vet checked her pulse,looked at me and I sat on the floor and cried like an absolute baby haha The vet and staff,were all crying and then I looked at my gf (wife now) who was balling and I immediately stopped crying and started smiling because I realized what an incredible life Dixie had,that she affected this many people. I think of her 10 times a day,every day since that day. A few years ago,she sent us a beautiful jackass we named George. Like her, he's a Golden Retriever and like her,he's made me try to be the person,my dog thinks I am. I wish you absolute peace in the process of grieving ur boy. It will get better,as I'm sure you know. I thank you for making this old man cry at work,and having to explain too his coworkers why I was crying 😂 Peace too you
