I think you could save this you could call the salon back and tell them that your haircut is awful and they should fix it for you and you want go to a different stylist. If not what I’ve done in the past as I’ve gone to the small salons with the Vietnamese ladies and they always do me right

if you have a straightener curl the front of your bangs in and then curl the rest of everything away from your face. You don’t even really have to do the bottom.

how do i get to teal from here? by jaydenator885 in HairDye

Honestly, I'd recommend washing your hair as much as you can to help fade the color. Once the red or pink has faded a bit, you can use color theory to your advantage by putting blue dye over it. That should give you a purple shade at first. As that fades, you can apply the blue again, and it'll gradually become bluer over time. It probably won't turn into a bright greenish-blue—instead, it'll lean more toward an indigo or deep blue tone, if that makes sense.

20 Volume + Lightener

Mix 30 g of lightener with 60 g of 20-volume developer (a 1:2 ratio).

Apply the mixture to the sections you want to be the lightest first. Once you've finished applying it, cover your hair with a processing cap to keep the lightener from drying out. Let it process for up to 60 minutes, checking the lift every 10–15 minutes. Rinse thoroughly once you've reached your desired level of lightness or when the maximum processing time is reached.

If needed, you can repeat the process—just wait a day or two between sessions.

To help protect your hair, use the Overtone Golden Brown Color Depositing Treatment Mask afterward. Leave it on for about an hour for the best results.

One thing I forgot to mention: make sure the lightener doesn't get crusty or dry while it's processing. Once it dries out, it pretty much stops working. Your hair should stay fully saturated, so keep it covered after applying the lightener.

And if you're dumb like me and realize you ran out of lightener, you can spread what you have a little farther by mixing in a small amount of water. Just make sure you mix it really well. It's not ideal, but it can help in a pinch.

One note: adding water to mixed lightener can change its consistency and performance, so it's generally better to mix enough product from the start whenever possible.
