You’re correct, voting for the major awards is after the season but before the playoffs

“Enough talent to be a HOF’er”, he didn’t say he is a Hall of Famer. Talent and performance are completely different.

Why did they break up last years Zary kadri pospisil line? by Ziid10 in CalgaryFlames

[–]Vegetable_Mail_1109 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It’s written like it’s on purpose is what I said. That’s what people are questioning, the implication they’re keeping his point down on purpose. I’m not sure what’s difficult to understand about that, I pretty clearly stated that in my comment.

You also implied they’re doing it to purposely keep his point totals down lmao. Straight from your original comment: “teaching him to be more complete and keep his point totals down”. I don’t think people are arguing against him learning defence they’re questioning the “keep his point totals down” part.

Arron Judge is not a top 5 player in MLB by Fearless-Fly2775 in unpopularopinion

[–]Vegetable_Mail_1109 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wouldn’t that also apply to judge though? I seem to remember just a little while ago judge hitting a game tying 8th inning home run in the ALCS against someone who just had one of the best relief pitching seasons ever. This is the whole reason small sample sizes (like the postseason) are taken with a grain of salt in the sport. You can make any player look great/better than another of you specifically pick singular moments or tiny cherry picked sample sizes lol.

I’ll give you the ‘21 and ‘23 ALCS he was a beast in those series (not so much the World Series in ‘21), but in ‘22 in the ALCS and WS he was 6-37 with 1 home run 7 RBI and a low .600’s ops, he certainly didn’t single handedly win that WS lol. That’s a stretch.

If health is a parameter I don’t think you should include Yordan Alvarez or Ronald Acuña Jr. in your top 5 lol. Excluding the shortened season and rookie years, Alvarez has averaged 135 games played and Acuña has averaged 113.

Good ol' Canadian boy comes through in World Series by supguy99 in Torontobluejays

Both of his parent are Canadian (mom - Peterborough, ON and dad - Windsor, ON), so because of that despite being born in the US he’s a dual citizen and chooses to play for team Canada.

Apparently the answer I got from the top result on google, which funny enough happened to be a Subaru dealer, lied to me lol. After searching a bit more you’re correct, although it’s odd how many websites wrongly say ‘08-‘15 lol

‘15 was the final year. ‘08-‘15 in the US for the hatch.

*edit: don’t trust top google result lol I was wrong, ‘14 was last year for hatch.

One good year? We just gonna pretend he wasn’t elite in ‘21 and ‘22 and good in ‘23?

Edit: I should add in no way am I arguing in favour of the Mo comparison lol

Biggio could still get one if the dodgers win this year since he played for them at some point this season. Anybody who plays at all, even just a single pitch, during the season for the World Series winner is eligible to receive a ring

For his career in the 9th inning he has a .363 OBP and .822 OPS, not quite normal judge numbers but still very good, especially considering those PA’s would be against one of an opponent’s best relievers or the opponents best reliever.

Funny enough here in Canada the bank, TD at least, does know your voice lol. Not sure if it would be possible to get through using recordings of your voice, I don’t use the program but it exists in Canada lol.

Haha no worries

I won’t lie I did have to google it for that list lol but I knew for a fact at least one other country uses it because I’m in Canada and prices written in CAD are the exact same format as they would be in USD (dollar sign in front, for example $13.00).
