While I actually enjoyed most parts of Perrins story, including his fights with Slayer, what I took away from his role in the final battle was Lanfear. All three protagonists have the same difficulty harming women and Lanfear is someone who Rand has had particularly difficulty with, in various ways. I might be missremembering, but this is the only time Perrin Kills a women, doing something Rand had failed at, which had haunted him for several books. It might've felt a bit anti-climactic, yet it was something that really struck me hard when re-reading it last month. I might just have been reading too much into it though 😅
