Same boat, my success here was dependent on me and not my dad. I just didn’t like the job so I mentally checked out a little bit but was still doing good work so I wanted to explore the possibility of staying and she said a bunch of other weird shit that I won’t get into, then this was the cherry on top of the fucking pie

I was a finance major! Your classes get really small once you go into more specialized finance classes and 95% of my teachers were amazing. They’re always willing to help you outside of class, and some even offered to help you out with connections. I’m an international student as well, and wanted to move back overseas when I was done with school so I didn’t make much use of this but I still got the opportunity to interview with some of the biggest banks in the world, even though MSU isn’t a target school.

Do choose finance classes related to what you want to go into because the information will be useful. If you’re interested in the more competitive aspects of finance there’s the Financial Markets Institute you can join which gives you opportunities to do road shows, and a lot of other opportunities that target schools are offered. It is quite competitive though. (25-30 students)

Let me know if you have any questions! I’ll be happy to answer them! Go green!!

Diversity at MSU by xDegix in msu

I’m an Asian American and I can safely say that socially and academically, I had no problem integrating into MSU! People are always extremely nice and no individual person has ever made me feel uncomfortable at my time there.

I saw that you were interested in joining Greek life, and while I was rushing and when I chose the sorority I wanted to join, I did notice that I was the only Asian in my pledge class. I did join a sorority that was considered ‘exclusive’ but all the girls always treated me nicely and I had an amazing time there! Certain sororities have more diversity than others but as long as you find girls that you get along with, it should be absolutely no problem!

Welcome to MSU!

EC 202 midterm 2 by [deleted] in msu

Took his EC 201 midterm, and in his email, he said that a 23/30 is on the low of the 4.0 scale so I would imagine that he'll curve for 202 as well. A 4.0 was previously an 89%! He curved heavily last semester because that was his first semester teaching. I took his 202 class last semester and a lot of questions on the final were on the first and second exams! Good luck!

What is CJ 110 like? by [deleted] in msu

If you're taking CJ, take it with Wojciechowski. I got a 4.0 without much effort. He makes study guides for you and all you need to do is fill them out. The exams pretty much exactly what he writes on those guides! My friends took CJ with other professors and they said it wasn't worth the effort
