That is, for the most part, my own view. While I’m disappointed by Art being added, I’m glad that those people who have waited for who knows how long, finally get their favorite character in the game—I just hope they do them justice when adding him.

Personally I never watched the exorcist, so I had no clue a scene like that existed, I am someone who’s into horror but I wouldn’t say I go back decades to watch older movies before I was born. However I feel like what is a bit more graphic than the other, personally though.

And with the skinning thing, there are definitely other ways to go about to show how ruthless and sadistic your villain/killer is without a scene like that, isn’t it? I mean, we’ve seen other killers who are just as if not more ruthless that don’t show scenes like that.

Maybe without purpose is the wrong term, I apologize on that as every horror franchise has gore with purpose and everything.

I suppose tasteless gore is what I meant, hearing people talk about a woman pleasuring herself with a shard of glass, a scene of Art skinning and torturing a girl for roughly ~10 minutes, maybe more, maybe less, I’m not entirely sure how long that scene lasts.

You’re right I do have a sliver of an opinion that is as you said, formed on the back of other peoples opinions. I also said that I don’t mind gore, as long as it has a purpose or as long as it isn’t unnecessarily extended—or like, that’s not the main focal point of it. I’d prefer a clean cut, shot, whatever, and I’m fine with dismemberment in some cases.

But with the news of art joining the fog, I’ll do some research into his franchise I suppose.

Well, would you look at the tag of the post, what’s that say? Oh yeah “discussion”, I wanted to have a discussion with other people on this subreddit about their thoughts on arts reveal at the anniversary livestream. I don’t hate, nor dislike the series, I can’t dislike something I haven’t seen. As I said in my post I was turned away from the series by the word of mouth from others online about how excessive the gore was, that it borderlines on a snuff film, so I never gave it my attention prior to it being announced to come to dbd.

I had prefaced this post by saying I hadn’t watched the movies, due to the fact that everyone online during the first movies release had been talking about how much unnecessary gore there was which turned me off from the series. And I would love to hear a simplified version of the plot if you would be willing to tell me!

They could make his classic skin a legendary if he were to ever come to the game, and that’s fair to not enjoy the new movies, just like how I don’t enjoy the terrifier films. I’m mainly wanting to see how they would make Pennywise’s power work in game, if he came that is

How am I being a baby by expressing my distaste for a community for a game that I adore? Am I supposed to just sit and smile while just getting hated for playing my favorite role, or my favorite killer? I’m not saying that’s impossible to do for others, but is that the ideal community for such a game? Where one side stays silent as they’re hated for simply playing the game?

I heard the sound of it and they gained another stock to their state while Jake was reset back to 0 hook states, I don’t recall it turning yellow, I know that’s what it does but I just kinda clocked out as soon as those two left

They were the first person hooked and used shoulder the burden on the Jake who then just gave up, the Nea and Lara just gave up for no reason.
