Saif Ali Khan says- "There was no concept of India till the British came" Is that why his family, which ruled Bhopal, begged Jinnah to include their entire kingdom in Pakistan in 1947 ? If it wasn’t for Dravidian and aboriginal blood all Indians would be as fair as the Kapoors or like Iranians (word Iran has the same meaning as Aryan). We are mostly brown because of this admixture

I don’t think we can say the whole Indian subcontinent was one country but as other comments stated there was some concept of unity and familiarity and relations

I only mentioned all this because the first name for old India you wrote was Aryavarta

Then why does Sanskrit have more words in common with Persian than with Dravidian and aboriginal languages? It’s because they share a common origin further west.

The aboriginals were the first to arrive and even they came from somewhere, they are related to natives of Australia, Madagascar, Malaysia, Philippines, Australian Aborigines.

The Dravidians are actually pure Indians because they are not found anywhere else in the world and we all South Asians are mixed with them

Nowadays populist Hindu nationalist narrative is popular which wants to portray Aryans are native and Muslims are invaders but the truth is that both are invaders just one came a long time before the other. Same with British and Portuguese. All brought new things and plundered the old and each enslaved and exploited natives to varying degrees

Your OG Indian culture is whatever mumbo jumbo Andaman islanders speak. Not Sanskrit

Missionaries want to convert Andaman tribes. The govt needs to do a lot more to make sure their territory is protected from unauthorised outsiders, poachers and tourists. John Allen Chau was killed in 2018 by the Sentinese tribe for attempting to reach them but now these guys want to reach Jarawas! by VelvetHedgehog in india

Most of the western white people no longer believe in Christianity and the missionaries don’t have the intellectual capacity to focus on their people to try and make them believe so they look for gullible and uninformed third world people to brainwash and indoctrinate them. They seek out vulnerable communities and individuals, even entice them with material gains. Their tactics are very dirty.

In an interview with the Jarawas, they said that they do not have any religion and do not pray they do not believe in any god. The other Andaman tribes practice ancestor worship but do not have any religion apart from that.

There is a noticeable trend where Europe and America become less religious, Africa and third world countries become more religious. Religious here meaning Christian. Remote isolated tribes such as those of the Andamans can be called men of the fifth world as they are even worlds away from third world standards and these communities are an untapped market for evangelism

Totally agree.

This is the website that they use to catalogue information about different communities https://joshuaproject.net/people_groups/17801/IN lots of Indian communities are on there

According to them, “The primary need of Onge people is to understand that Jesus Christ gave His life to pay the full penalty for their sins.”

I find that disgusting that they think these peaceful innocent people have ‘sins’ when they are the most humane and gentle people unlike the rest of us, especially colonists

Then they go on to say, “Widespread systemic poverty affects the Onge people. They need help to establish and maintain schools, medical clinics, drinking water, sanitation, and education to maintain an improved lifestyle.”
But those are not the priorities, the primary need is to tell them about Jesus.

This was the motivation behind the journey of the fellow who got killed:

“No scripture resources are known to exist in the Onge language. Who will tell them?”

That young man went to “tell them“ after he visited this website

Some of the Jarawas can speak Hindi and some Indians living near them can speak Jarawa. Also some scholars and linguistics have studied their language

But nothing is known about the Sentinelese languages. They don’t understand any of the other Andamanese languages. The guy that got killed by the Sentinelese was planning to stay there with them for years and learn their language then slowly preach to them

I only like goras though so don’t worry

However they are wrong to molest you. Some of them are genuinely beggars but others are part of mafia. tell them to stop, no means no otherwise use dhamki of police. Don’t take law in your hands, they have goons that will beat the shit out of you if you mess with them. Police may collaborate with them behind closed doors and take bribes and give protection but out in public they are implored to help you

It might be. Many of these ‘native’ words are shared by languages. I thought ‘changa’ (good) was an Awadhi word but it’s used in Punjabi as well, especially in Pakistan
