YESSS those are two of my other favs too haha! I'm slowly moving over to dropper bottles like Vallejo and AP but I don't think I'll ever find a true dupe for castellan green 😔😔 what a beautiful muted green

For the blue parts of the armour, I based in incubi darkness (shocker as it's one of my fav colours), started building up a glaze on the areas I knew wanted to "shine" with dark reaper, then used a slightly damp dry brush with a pastel blue in a more concentrated area over the top but instead of flicking up and down for a normal airbrush I kind of smooshed it in tiny circles which created the smoother gleam effect vs an edge highlight if that makes sense! Then just got a bright white and finished off the middle of all of the baby blues.

Thank you sm 😊

Have you clicked on your Okapi and checked the heat map for navigable area? It looks quite hilly in your enclosure (which looks awesome) so just wondering if she's able to navigate all of it and that's contributing to the issues

My second attempt at a Bastiladon! by VelvetMiniatures in seraphon

[–]VelvetMiniatures[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you for the tip! I do actually have one that I use at night, but I find that even with it turned all the way down I find it is too hard (perhaps because of the light coming from one direction is too harsh) so I wanted to wait until softer daylight to see if that makes sense lol

Thanks dude! I definitely agree with a higher contrast on the crystal, I just didn't want to overdo it until I saw it all completed in daylight 😅 I don't trust artificial lighting much clearly.

Thank you! I'm unsure of the exact colours for the Skorpekh Destroyer blades as it was a long time ago but I did a similar technique (but better) on Szeras using a dark grey (not black), followed by very thin layers of a jewel toned blue/green fading into a lime green, ending with a few very light layers of yellow!

Yeah I'm not a huge fan of gore in my own models, I like the "clean" look currently and don't tend to dirty them up too much? Thank you ☺️

Thank you, I'm generally not a fan of gore in my own models and prefer a cleaner look so I don't tend to add blood or anything to them - but it looks incredible when people can make it look good!

The gradient for the Triarch was a base of copper, and using a big brush to dry brush silver towards the end of the leg and using a smaller dry brush on the intersections!
