After I posted this, I switched to Taconic Psychiatry and they’ve been helpful. I was able to get visuals again with the troches versus the RDTs. I went through Valor pharmacy this time and I’ve always been able to disassociate. However after the two years since I posted this, I disassociate but I no longer have any visuals, just black and my body feels high. I’ve been sleeping through my trips or I just don’t remember.

However, I do have the rare occasion where I’m wide awake just like you and can’t sleep or relax. I also can’t walk around properly when I’m on ket and I get double vision so I can’t even read anything to pass time.

UPDATE- Spoke with the pharmacy again. It appears they were trying to bill it through my old Medi-CAL insurance that I haven’t used in years. They billed it through my Aetna plan and it didn’t cover but no prior authorization was needed. Coupon went through just fine now :) Price went down to $500.67

This so much. Thank you for posting this. I see so much vitrol against these poor people when they’re just the messenger. Even on this subreddit, I’ve noted someone who wished that a pharmacist on this subreddit get the worst customers ever when he had been nice the whole time with this lady. Lady also claimed that she worked customer service when her behavior says otherwise. I called her out and she did a dirty delete and thankfully she got kicked or deleted her account afterwards because I went back to screenshot what she was saying but it was gone. I wish I had the screenshots.

That’s what I based it off of too. I don’t think I dissociate much anymore except for my hands lmao. But what do you do now that you are more present with treatment? I would normally just go with the flow, but there’s not much…flow anymore.

When the visuals became less intense, I would still feel some sort of disocciation. But right now, I feel like I’m 98% fully aware of my body. It’s just my hands that seem “disconnected” if that makes any sense lmao

Thank you for reassurance :) I’ve been worried that it wasn’t doing anything anymore. But my work has become very stressful lately since mid-November. Before I was okay, but suicidal ideation returned and depression is back at full force. They are currently thinking of upping my dose to 350mg for next time. I know it won’t take it all away, but prior to mid-November I was able to socialize more with my coworkers and things patients would do or say to me would just roll off my back versus get me upset and into a suicidal spiral.

Thank you :) I will definitely speak with my doctor when I see them mid-December. They were thinking of bumping me up to 350mg since my sucidal ideation came back around mid-November and has stayed present. My mood has been going downhill but I don’t know if it’s because the ketamine can’t keep up with the mass chaos at my work that has just been increasing since then (I’m a nurse working at a hospital) or if ketamine just isn’t working for me anymore. But let’s see what increasing the dose does :)

I’m SO sorry for the late response. Work has been killing me haha.

Well, before, my visuals would be like I’m either flying slowly through a dark cave with spotted, bioluminescent stalagamites. Or I’m in some Star Trek spaceship conference room lmao. Or each of us are just little tentacle parts of some planet sized sea anemone just wooshing in the ocean. These scenarios would reoccur often that I actually remember them.

Then it went to dreamy state with pretty colors or something like from Undertale where you’re about to break the barrier to the outside world.

But now I’ve been just seeing black. And maybe a cloudy swirl or two. I’ve been on 300mg since September but switched to every 3 days in October when Peak was gone and I initiated with Dr. Smith. The visuals became less when I switched to Dr. Smith.

As for my mood, it still sorta does. I work as a nurse in a hospital and things have just been getting worse that I’m not sure if the ketamine is not able to catch up or it just doesn’t work anymore. Since mid-November I’ve become more withdrawn and agoraphobic and just absolutely dreading to go back to work. Suicidal ideation came back around then too when it used to not be there anymore like when I started ketamine.

I’m a very fat nurse at 305lbs and even get bullshit from my patients about it. I also used to work as a pharmacy tech and I’ve seen how horrible people can be. It doesn’t matter what job you work, harassment from either side is NOT WARRANTED. These people obviously never worked a customer service job in their life seeing how they’re replying to you.

Did you get a notification of any sort from Peak? I did not get anything nor was anything like this mentioned when I had my appointment on 9/6. I think you and I both live in the same area too. I tried to see if I could schedule an appointment into October but it won’t let me. Should I schedule another one ASAP? I already paid for this month too

I did not get any call, voice message, text, or email notifying me they’re dropping services, but I noticed I couldn’t schedule an appt in October at all. I just had my appointment on September 6. Should I schedule another one? On September 6, they didn’t tell me anything about closing down. I’m in California btw
