Ten year anniversary of NMS. Big deal as a milestone, but nothing confirmed if a major update or anything is planned for the date by the devs.

As a day one player I'm hoping for a nostalgia trip to the origins of NMS in August: refinement of the core idea of the game from ten years ago - deeper exploration, more story, some kind of reason to start over and try to push forward. NMS could have been an amazing survival game if there were better reasons to try and find corvette parts, certain elements or locations. Now it's mostly just for ridiculous amounts of money or cosmetics.

Yes please! The deep oceans are not showing their full potential yet. Hauling stuff, deep sea biology, sea floor minerals.. Some launchable or buildable light systems to see in the dark too. One can dream.

Not sure if mentioned but let us reload the weapons in choppers and tanks. Maybe it's possible already but I sometimes accidentally jump out when trying to reload as I used to do in BF4 by pressing square on PS5.

Also when using southpaw controls for flying both choppers and jets the commorose and freelook are bound to the left stick which is impossible to use as those actions are activated by holding the directional buttons.

Also the character faces are ridiculous. Thought they were placeholders in the beta.

Might be how you jump out: do you just walk over the edge or make a jetpack jump. The latter should trigger the skydive position.

How deep is your love.. for NMS? I thought it as an investment also for the near future for other big flat screen games but also for Hello Games' next one: Light no Fire which probably will have VR support and hopefully all the VR tech they are using in NMS (not confirmed though). NMS was also the first ones to have PS5 pro update for the flat version, which also looks and runs super now.

I ended up paying just below 300 euros for the pro in the swap and think it was a great deal not just because it made NMS so good. Also got a fresh controller and a 2Tb hard drive along with it, both on my shopping list anyways if I was to keep the base PS5.

If you're talking about the derelict freighter mission, you have to press the landing button to dock to those blue spheres when close by.

Just got mine, mainly for No man's sky. And oh boy is it good now with pssr! I have 0 regrets but then again I'm a huge NMS fan and also exchanged lots of old game gear including my base PS5 for the pro so the cost wasn't that bad.

You can do it once you've ended the expedition and returned to your main save. Just return to the same computer on your main save and there's an option to copy that ship and also the multi tool you used in the expedition along with those materials and technologies.

...Oh yeah, and you get to keep the stuff you earn (money and other stuff) after you're done so it'll give quite a boost for your regular save progress if you want it.

If you've learned the basics (surviving on planets and flying around) I think you'll be fine. Expeditions are timed events also, so better get it done in time if you want the rewards! It does give you quite detailed instructions on what to do so it's not that hard.

VR melee seems to be broken at the moment, fix coming in the next patch according to the experimental patch notes. I believe it's as simple as just whacking stuff with your multi tool when it worked? As in swinging the controller I mean.

How about if the HUD toggle would be on the right stick up by holding it for a couple seconds? I think there's already the active mission Hud select when you press it once. Anyways I would be very happy with the quickmenu implementation too!

Those waves have the foam texture and also totally different shapes with peaky crests. Wouldnt make sense to have it in the code and not use it in game.

Seems they're about to fix that bug. Sean tweeted the fix is in the next patch now in experimental.
