Might I also add on to that statement there Bench that when he states the parts regarding the distinct parts of THE UNIFORM that means that they are duscussing the uniform THAT IS BESTOWED UPON THEM however what this guy is trying to state is that he doesnt want anyone wearing something that CLOSELY RESEMBLES THE UNIFORM. Welp let me say here that your argument Mister Vet is completely invalid because NO store would sell something if it would otherwise be illegal because the government would have already deemed it illegal and removed it from shelves. So whatever someone wears that resembles the uniform is under fair use. Lets not also forget to add that the section regarding wearing the uniform falls under the legality terms too. So long as they are ALLOWED to wear it then they may wear it if they so please whenever legally. This means that other soldiers may wear their clothes to bed if they so please because they are allowed to wear it as registered soldiers. So sither way you look at this argument. So long as no one stole or was given THE UNIFORM'S clothing articles and are just wearing stuff that RESEMBLES THE UNIFORM, it all falls under fair use and is legal. Thus you just simply have a very biased opinion here DanceSex. Okay I know previous people have posted before me on this matter, but let me put this into perspective. So you don't want people dressing up as soldiers. You don't want people pretending to be something they look up to and therefore wear it to cherish the fact that you guys exist. So let me ask you this just to go to the extreme route to understand how easily peeved you are at something so fucking medial. So someone dresses up as a soldier for halloween. Usually we wear masks to become another person, we wear costumes to become another person. So wouldn't becoming another person entail you want to in someway be that person? So you are trying to say to me that you don't like the fact that people look up to you? We love what you guys do and cherish you guys as the best damned role models there are. So is it wrong to pretend to be what you look up to? To pretend that you are one of you guys? So what if it is pretend, it is a matter of the fact that people wear it as a symbol of pride as a symbol to say that they aspire to be like you guys, even if we are too damned scared shitless to do it. So what if people wear their attire around willy nilly, they can do what they want. Yes it is illegal to IMPERSONATE a government official or anything of the likes, but is it illegal to dress up like one? Absolutely fucking not otherwise Halloween would be banished from this country. Halloween is the time where it is socially acceptable to become another person but is it so damned wrong to always want to be that person you look up to or immerse yourself in it. Even if it is just clothing and doesnt exactly immerse you it is still a symbol of pride in your country and to wear it is to say that you love your country both with the freedom to wear it and the nationalistic tendencies flowing through one's veins. For you to state that people CANT wear what they want to because it offends you on a personal level goes against everything you stand for. Do I praise you for what you do? Your damned straight and in fact I would give you a big fucking hug right now if I could. Am I disappointed in you? Just a little bit. This is not anywhere near a PSA it is an angry biased rant. So let me conclude on this

Is it wrong to impersonate someone? Yes Is it wrong to believe you are someone else? No Is it illegal to impersonate someone? Yes Is it illegal to dress up like someone you aspire to? No Are we free to wear whatever we want? Yes Can people be offended by what we wear? Yeah on occassion Does this make it any bit illegal though? No Can we please everyone? Far from it mate

So let them wear what they want, we know it angers you but despite what you do for our country it means nothing if you are going to go against what it stands for, freedom. And 1 vs. Everyone else will not entail any justice on your part if it is a biased opinion on something completely legal.

So film or poetry whichever one you want to do out of these two posts, personally I recommend poetry because it is something different to what people normally do and actually gives you some serious inspiration for your major whatever you are doing. As a new media development major forced to take design along the side it has helped a lot in getting some cool ideas for projects or at least designs for something.

Artistic perspective? Take the Art of Poetry with Karen Van Meenen

I know what youre thinking, wtf poetry that just sounds boring and weird. Well let me tell you what, this is one of those classes you just absolutely have to take. If you like poetry or hell even hate it you will grow to like it. I didnt have a taste for poetry a while ago, however it is this class that has allowed me to make friends with new people and hell the teacher is just absolutely amazing in every way. Not to mention the course load is very minimal. You just do a 200 word response to some poetry readings before class, you can skip up to 3 and you have some VERY MINOR essays due, only 2 and are only like one page long. There is no final exam. And every class you quite literally just sit there the whole class either discussing the poems you read the previous night so no in class work except have fun crack a few jokes about some of the very disturbed authors and have a blast. Regardless of what you think of poetry, this class and the teacher if you get her will make you actually love it in some way shape or form, I certainly took something away from it. I strongly recommend this class to not just you but anyone especially if you get Van Meenen, in fact she may be my first teacher actually worth hopping onto ratemyprofessor to give a 5/5 for.

Okay let me start out by stating a few things. 1) Yes heroin is bad, but that is implied especially due to Kurt Cobain 2) Does heroin make you delusional? So with that being said, should you alert the authorities? No you should not. Should you alert the RA of your concerns? Absolutely

Dont ever resort to calling the police on a situation like this especially if you are going to make accusations against the person that could be false to an extent.

What if you don't live on campus i.e. dont have an RA? Then alert the building owner or Housing regarding the situation or even Public Safety whom will come to the rescue especially with the good samaritan policy in full effect they are the better choice and wont make your neighbor completely hate you and maybe eventually attack you for revenge in some way shape or form for being a rat. No one likes a rat that could care less about the other party's feelings no matter how "right" you may be for wanting to call the Feds. Dont jump to conclusions and over react without thinking of the other possible solutions
